Tariq breaks down The #Don'tVote Campaign ( "Obama ain't do shit for us!" )

The Black political IQ is zero.We decide elections. Instead of us seeing that we vote for people blindly "hoping" they'll remember us when they get into office.
We go hard for democrats but look at the state of our cities which majority of us reside in Democrat run cities.

We need to start putting a full court press on politicians and having them bending over backwards to get whatever needs we present met. Democrats know they can just take our vote and ignore us until the next election cycle because we don't demand anything from them.

The Clintons track record with Black people would not be acceptable by any other group and they would know better than to show face looking for favors. But nope not with Black folk.Any type of dancing or showing up to Black churches and we immediately melt and act like those same motherfuckaz ain't treat us worse than republicans.

This idiot is the father or big brother many members never had. He's not politically astute. He sounds like he follows youtube scholars for valid info

Just one question for those claiming Obama hasn't done shit for black folks, what do you recommend he do or should have done from his position as executive of the administrative branch?

S
ure, like everyone here, I disagree with him using drones and not going after Wallstreet bankers but that's the easy Bernie Sanders arguments that don't take into account the trade off of not using troops and what's going in Iraq and the fact that with Glass-Steagal, etc...the banking system is pretty fucked right now.

It's one thing to not give a Black president the benefit of the doubt. But when Black folks are too lazy to see what he has done for Black folks because the plain language of his actions doesn't say "for Black folks" it gets a little crazy. Educated folks in here do the same thing. Asking what has he done? Credit card bill of rights, reducing the amount we need to pay for federal student loans, EPA environmental justice, turning around GM to the point that workers are getting profit sharing, DOJ going after for profit colleges that usually target low income folks, HARP, expanding federal HUD funds for affordable housing, increased SNAP funds.

Some ninjas have argued that he hasn't done enough for middle class black folks, like they are some subset that doesn't benefit from all of the things he has done for the middle class in general. I have no idea what we want as a people anymore. We can't articulate shit - we have no agenda. We just like to complain when he pushes for gay marriage or comes out against discrimination against Muslims.

Bruh, he actually helped those in debt with Sallie Mae and did address those with bad credit or potential bad credit (credit card bill of rights) and is going after for profit colleges that are one of the main predators of black, low income folks trying to uplift themselves through higher education.

That's my point - it is so much easier to talk shit from the sidelines. Civil rights activism and being a "black leader" is big business and there is no money in investigation and reasonable discussion. It's either you are with him and you are on MSNBC or you are Cornel West, etc..getting money through Fox News appearances. Either way, that S Class gotta run on something and it isn't intellectual honesty.

Cosign.

Along with everything else you stated he fought for and succeed in not only keeping the Pell Grant program alive but INCREASING the amount available for the neediest students; that grant helps pay a nice chuck of tuition and housing for low income students.

I usually ride with TN but he's way off base with his comments.

Props on your two outstanding posts fam; well done.

I went to a for profit college, trying to get my joint forgiven if so no bashing Obama here, would never be a issue under the Republicans. They'll never advise it. I'm jumping in this train now.

Two words: Supreme Court.

That's all this comes down to. None of these candidates are worth a damn, but it's better to have dems picking for the Supreme Court.

And this is why Tariq needs to go sit down somewhere have a coke and a smile.....

This dontvote bullshit is 100% off
