Syracuse mom blends in with students, bursts into daughter’s classroom and breaks teacher’s nose in front of 25 kids

A Syracuse mom burst into her daughter’s classroom and repeatedly punched her teacher in the face, breaking several bones as at least 25 horrified children looked on, according to police.

“These are injuries you don’t often see in a boxing match,” Onondaga District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick said at a Tuesday press conference about the incident.

Lynzina Sutton, 31, arrived at Lincoln Middle School Friday with her mother, Roxanne Thompkins, and both women attempted to make their way past security.

The day prior, Sutton’s daughter told her teacher, “My mom will handle this” after she was disciplined for allegedly lying about her whereabouts during the school day.

The fearful staffer filed an official complaint with the school that afternoon.

While Thompkins was prevented from entering the next morning, the 4 foot 10 inch Sutton had her hood pulled over her head and was able to blend in with other kids, according to Localsyr.com.

Sutton then headed to her daughter’s classroom and proceeded to repeatedly punch the female teacher in the face as traumatized students looked on.

The victim, described as a “dedicated” veteran educator, suffered a concussion and several broken bones in her face, officials said.

“She’s going to have some long-term issues,” Fitzpatrick said.

“I know her nasal passages were severely affected by this.”

Sutton managed to leave the school after the beating but was later arrested and charged with burglary and assault.

The shocking incident spurred Syracuse City School District’s Superintendent Anthony Davis, Fitzpatrick, and Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile to hold a joint press conference Tuesday.

“When people are dedicating their lives to educating our students they shouldn’t have to worry about this,” Davis said.

Thompkins, Sutton’s mother, said they were angry with the school because Sutton’s daughter was a victim of repeated bullying that went unaddressed.

“She’s been slapped, she’s been kicked, they’ve broken her glasses three times, they’ve broken cellphones twice, and all we get [from the school] is, ‘Well what is she doing?’ They made her out to be the problem,” Thompkins told CNYCentral.

Thompkins said she felt bad for the injured teacher.

“That was never supposed to be that way,” she told the outlet.

“I apologize for that, and I hope she recovers. There’s always a better way to handle stuff and we were going to talk at the school to have a conversation, with the school, like we have numerous times.”

The Onondaga DA’s office told The Post Wednesday that Sutton was released on bond and will appear in court at a later date.

The teacher has been released from the hospital and is recovering.

In Georgia she would have gotten popped for that.

Students would have seen their first school shooting

This story is almost unbelievable. This woman is 31 years old and acting like a teenager. Even at that, only the rare exceptions have a short fuse like that. That is almost as shocking as the physical attack on the teacher itself.

While I don’t agree wholeheartedly with what the mother did, but if her daughter was being bullied and the school wasn’t doing anything about it, then I understand the frustration.

Sometimes schools don’t really look out for the kids being bullied for a myriad of reasons. And shit just comes to ahead. That’s only if what the mother is stating is true.

I would pay to watch this movie

Every student, parent isn't right just like some teachers aren't and I've dealt with my fair share of teachers who weren't right and shouldn't be teaching students at all and I was a student confronting terrible ass teachers and controlling classrooms/students for them.

-racism
-scared
-they were there for the money
-They cared more about the things they weren't being paid to do than teaching
-Old didn't give a fuck cause they were on their way out the door
-young,gullible,sweet natured and just wanted everything to be peaceful
-Large,loud,direct,a bully to their own students....

I've dealt with a little bit of everything when it came to the teachers and I was being manipulative to a certain degree most of the times and now that I'm out of school I understand what I was doing, playing, taking advantage of people's weaknesses while also helping them by calling them out on their bullshit.
Most aren't prepared for a classroom full of black inner city kids.

There is no age limit on being ghetto !

Trailer would start out having everybody thinking it's a comedy..then when she says that which is in bold the screen cuts to black.. slow motion of Jada Pinkett Smith putting on a hoodie :roflmao2:

Teacher mistakes her for a student"..and i think we have a new student"then when Jada whips the hood off and rushes at her w/ the brass knuckles that "scary heartbeat" starts playing:lol:

All the other times kids pull out phones to record.....u mean to tell me nobody got footages of this shit?
Well, this sounds like a proper ambush, which means no one would have caught the beginning. And they claim the kids were shocked, so I guess they didn't think to do it (or the ones that did already got their phones confiscated).

It kinda goes to show that actual violence with ill intent isn't a game. We see footage of fights and things all of the time, but that's usually with a lot of buildup and sometimes hype. An actual attack that's just meant to hurt somebody else isn't going to give you time to load up.

What would attacking the teacher solve? Not a damn thing, but get you sued & charges pressed. If the administration wasn't doing anything, then she should have gone over their heads to the central office (director of student services or the equivalent). But sneaking into the school & sneaking the teacher is a bitch cowardly move.

Didn’t say it would solve anything. Unfortunately, everyone is not as level headed when it comes to these situations. I didn’t say I agreed but that I understood her frustration if true. People are human, my dude. She should’ve handled it differently for sure, but that emotional aspect plays a factor.

That is true and what I was thinking. But the kids that was doing the bullying and their parents still have not been confronted. It is just another laugh for them.
