I also feel that there are a lot of words, phrases and gestures that are overused and that make no sense whatsoever. Its usually whatever is deemed as the "in" thing.
It is a difficult thing to get people to attempt to broaden the vocab when we are inundated with all this music and music videos that have such an influence on the community. Who ever the next person is on top of the charts starts the next trend. unfortunate but true. Didnt they try to start "ebonics" a while back in the states as part of the curriculum? I mean what does that tell us.
