Good stuff. However it shows you that these big corporations are not interested in building a car like this. Many scientists and students have built these for years even the big name carmakers as well, yet no product. Big Oil ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Ummm, no.

Going from a car like that to an actual production car for general consumers is where the issues lie.

Using lightweight materials and carefully designed aerodynamic shapes are well known in getting fuel efficiency. But how shaky are those numbers? What I mean is, if you add a second (150 lb) passenger, how much does it adversely affect the efficiency? It has a top speed of 42 MPH, so how much would increasing the power of the vehicle adversely affect the fuel efficiency?
