What’s funny about ads too is the more they force shit whenever possible, the more pissed you are and less likely to buy those types of brands or products.

Sort of like the websites that are pop-up hell, or have the shit that bypasses pop-up blockers. You’re less likely to revisit or recommend the URL. Or the tubesites that glitch out and load the chat stream shit when you click on the simple “Search” bar.

…Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters addressed the free streaming dilemma during an investor call in July. Peters said the company needs to be "thoughtful" about free offerings, as they could eventually cannibalize its more lucrative paid tiers. Netflix is still expected to explore free streaming, but it would first need to develop and scale a strong advertising business across local markets.

For now, Netflix has no immediate plans to announce. However, all streaming giants may eventually face the same challenge, as free services like Pluto TV continue gaining popularity and potentially draw users away from paid platforms...

The subscription price for Apple TV will increase in the U.S. for new and existing subscribers beginning Friday, Aug. 28. The monthly price is now $14.99 (up two bucks from $12.99) and the annual price is now $119 (from $99). Existing subscribers will be notified approximately one month prior to being charged the new price, according to Apple.

In the latest addition to the bulging category of streaming bundles, Amazon Prime Video is launching a package including AMC+, BritBox, MGM+, PBS Masterpiece and Starz.

The $29.99-a-month U.S. offering is priced 39% below the cost of each of the five individual services.

In recent years, dozens of combinations of streaming have hit the market, creating a crowded marketplace. As streaming pay-TV provider YouTube TV has evolved into the No. 1 distributor, it has sliced and diced its offerings into a range of packages and price points. Rival operators Charter, Comcast and DirecTV have followed suit...
