This was an excellent segment discussing Tyler Perry and his greatness. Dr. Black effectively encapsulated Perry using the “Joe Madison quote.” Dr. Black put it where the goats could get it.

From the 3:15 mark to 3:55 Gospel

Thanks for posting this....I was listening live and made sure to download this episode when it was available on the sirius app...such a great conversation that echoed everything I've been saying as a source called "Highbrow negro" myself

I was listening to this conversation on Monday, around the 1:07:00 mark, and Dr. Black’s perspective on the Bible—especially during his discussion on misogyny with Karen—was truly captivating. It left me speechless. One moment that stood out was when he gave the example of a woman wanting a man to open the door for her. He said, “Be careful, ma’am, because if he opens the door for you, that also means he gets to drive—literally and symbolically. By opening the door, he’s putting you in your place.”

I watched it and it was a bunch of movies rolled into one and I don't ever have to watch it again it wasn't that good of a movie.

Tiana taylor wasn't convencing as a cop and she has moments where she looks like a shim and her and TP are related.

Yeah i had to sit with that statement, I think the intent behind the action is more important...thats the difference between dudes performing those actions expecting something in return and those of us who do it without any transactional expectation... we just do it because its how we've been raised as protectors or gentlemen. would've been interesting to hear them expound on that or maybe I missed it...i'm a listen to that whole episode again anyways
