Looks like our brothers in America have some issues. Its 2014 and folks are still lecturing on matters that should have been sorted 50 yrs ago

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

He says,he don't care and yet crying on TV like a bitch......it must of been that white woman clutched her purse in front of him...:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Stephen A is an Uncle Tom a big time sellout. Every since ESPN booted his azz. When he came back he was so grateful he swore never again. He has been selling out his people since. His job is to incite emotional arguments for the ratings and he is doing a good job of that. Usually throwing out irresponsible shit about Black folk.

I need some one to point out for me exactly what he said in this video that indicates... Uncle Tom, or selling out, or irresponsibility... Please, I'd greatly appreciate it... :hmm:

As I said before, not a fan of him nor am I a fan of dyson, but smith was mostly right with this response today(except for the Cuban tattoo/hoodie shit).

He talks about the minefields(racism). True shit. He talks about reality. True shit.

Still don't see how he can miss Cuban not using a hoodie for both examples. The white guy in the hoodie could be covered in tats and have a bald head........

But he is trying to keep that ESPN money. Same way Dyson uses Pac to 'keep it real' or attacks Cosby to get paid. Fuck both of them.

For a guy that preach "appearance matters",it sure didn't stop a white woman clutching her purse around him, even though he wore a suit a tie...

Like I said,a few days ago on this subject, to say that a black man wearing a hoodie is the same as a white man having tattoos is his face is stupid and ignorant...

What make Stephen A's argument even more stupid,he has the audacity to say black people don't dialogue about the community when that's a fucking lie......There been countless times when we talk about the community, but somehow he thinks just because we don't do it in the media we're not talking about it..It makes no sense at all..

Stephen A needs to go back to talking about basketball, even though he can barely get that right....

How

I see brothers wearing hoodies all the time in my environment so I'm not taken aback by it but for someone who doesn't see it all the time, it may be a problem... Just like if a group of white Dude walking around in my environment with tats on their faces, would get a second look and be a problem...

It is stupid and ignorant only because we are judging the statement from the context of what we are used too...

Not saying is correct to generalize based on a hoodie, however, everything is not about racism... We get sermonizes when it's said by other races, yet we don't judge ourselves and it does appear like for the most part as a rule the victim card is played a bit much by us at this point...

That's why like I said, I absolutely agree with everything he said, to some that makes me a sell out I guess, but I'd prefer that than to always be a victim... :hmm:

Yeah, because if we wear a suit and tie racism will go away

What he said made perfect sense

And it was perfectly logical to compare a piece of clothing that all races wear to someone with tatts on their face

Did Cuban ever say they were equal in his statement? He was giving two view points to concerning his issues... Not once did he say they were the same...

And were those Steven A's exact words... yeah, twisting words or adding to them to support one's agenda... yeah, and being a victim and a whiner all the time makes perfect sense as well...

I totally agree with everything he said! :bravo:

yeah he made great points but in my opinion his points are pointless when he goes back and works for a company that fired him for making an opinion on a controversial racial topic. him and whitlock both got fired for stating opinions on a certain racial topic and both of them tuck their nuts and went back to work for massa

Stephen laying that truth, cats on here talk shit about other races on here that they wouldn't dare say in public, then they want to act all shocked on outraged when some non black person says some shit

This is the same guy who pointed the finger at us,for the n-word,after the Riley Cooper situation.

This is the same guy that was implying that it was a dead kid fault for getting shot, for wearing a hoodie

The list got on and on this guy and yet Im suppose to give this sellout the benefit of the doubt...:hmm:

How can anyone even think wearing a hoodie is the equivalent to a guy putting tattoos all over his face.....

On top of that, this guy is saying appearance matters and yet he's crying on TV about some white woman looking at him all fucked up,even though,he wore a suit...

Mark Cuban mind as well come out and say,he's defending Sterling, because he's been making these subtle comments about the situation....Let's not forget Cuban made some comments, before by calling Kenyon Martin a thug and yet everybody want to co-sign this CAC.....:smh::smh::smh:

There is a reason why Cuban had to apologize to the Martin family, because he knew his comments was fucked up......

Understood however if everyones live was used to validate or invalidate points we make, none of us would have shit to say about anything without being called on it...

My point was not to 'rep' Cuban, it was to say that, in THEORY, his points were valid and none of what you typed disprove that...

Just because someone doesn't get tripped up over a statement doesn't mean they are co-signing Cuban as a person, but a broken clock is right twice a day, and I still say, I total agree with EVERYTHING Stephen A. said concerning the situation...

Indeed, Michael Eric Dyson exploded Stephen A's myopic one dimensional views about racism and bigotry in AmeriKKKa.

It never entered Stephen A's mind that Donald Tokowitz changed his name to Donald Sterling because of racism and anti-Judaism feelings against 'Jews' that was prevalent in Los Angeles in the 1950s -1960s when Donald was a young fledgling lawyer.

Donald's appearance as a young 'white' male attorney wearing a 'Brooks Brothers' suit wasn't the problem. The problem was his Jewishness as reflected in his given last name Tokowitz. He felt correctly so, that, the Jewish last name Tokowitz would hurt his business $$$$ prospects.

So what did young Donald do? He hid his Jewishness by changing his last name to 'Sterling'.

What is ironic about this is that Donald's early life is proof that he knows what institutional racism is and what the grindingly negative and destructive effect it can have on ones career.

Despite young Donald's reality check as a young man, years later as a successful millionaire/ billionaire -lawyer/ businessman he becomes a racist himself, implementing- proven-in-a-court-of-law - racism against Blacks, & Hispanics with impunity!

Stephen A's shamelessly ignorant race consciousness myopia doesn't allow him to see Black men sagging pants or Black men wearing a hoddie as just totems, put forward by the corporate-media-of-mass-distraction and sycophants like Steven A, to sidetrack people from the real 800 pound gorilla in the room; Institutionalized Racism i.e White Supremacy.

When the Stephen A leaves a midtown Manhattan television studio in his Tom Ford suit and his Bruno Magli shoes and attempts to hail a cab, and six empty cabs pass him by, but stop 20 feet further up the street to pick up a white female whose wearing tattered shorts and a pair of flip-flops - trust me - Stephen A knows what's going on. The predominately Indian cab drivers don't want to pick him up because no matter what attire he has on, all they see is a ******.

The cab drivers have been conditioned to see Stephen A as the "public enemy" -the Black man, a menace.

I'll never forget Michelle Obama being asked on national television in 2007 about if she was afraid about Barack possibly being shot on the campaign trail, if he decided to run for the Presidency. She said she couldn't worry about that, because hopefully the secret service would do there job - but she pointed out that Barack could get shot because he "fit the description" just walking around their neighborhood in Chicago in jeans and sneakers; she said no police officer is going to recognize U.S. Senator Barack Obama as "one-of-the-good ones" as he walks the street in a t-shirt, jeans, sneakers & a WhiteSox baseball cap.
Michelle knows that it's not about a hoddie.

C/S. Stephen has too say what whitey wants to hear or his check stops.

There is a reason why Cuban had to apologize though, because he knew what he said was bullshit...No way in hell,a black guy wearing a hoodie is the same as a white guy having tattoos on his face...

Its like he's saying that a white,Asian and Hispanic guy's is less threatening that a black man wearing a hoodie and yet nobody isn't looking at white men who are wearng suits, who are robbing people blindly out of their money

Instead of having this fear of the black man wearing a hoodie,he should be worrying about white men in suits, who are doing everything in their power to make corporations even more rich than they already are....

Everything you are saying is YOUR opinion and has no real substance. He was giving a shotgun assessment to try to make a sound point. The only reason he had to apologize is because of Trayvon Martin, but take him out of the equation, his point is still valid. Again, if you see something that is not a regular part of your daily routine you are going to have an issue or concern with it, whether you are black or white... He was making a black/white statement so to bring up asians, hispanics, with this is really reaching but cool, do you...

If in the hood, a group of white boys is seen riding around, chilling in a parked car, whatever, they are going to be met with skepticism and view upon as a probable issue, same thing if you take a group of black guys floating around in predominantly white neighborhoods...

My whole point is, anyone who isn't 'common place' in the environment one is from, is met with skepticism... regardless of race. Jokers are adding meaning to his statement to validate their points which in this instance is week....

I'll bet their are white people with facial tattoos who are pissed to I guess. :smh:

All of this is irelevant. Everything cuban said was in defense of his racist buddy sterling. Hes been doing this since sterling got caught. Hes trying to justify a raging bigot by using a weak ass argument about crossing the street. Therefore ANY black man who defends cuban is by extention defending not only sterling but every racist cac who loves to play the old "were all prejudice" card

Again, I am not championing HIS cause, my question is, was what he said wrong? that's the problem and the tunnel vision that this whole bullshit has brought out, the debate should be the validity of what was said not who said it... Again, a broken clock is right twice a day...

IS WHAT HE SAID WRONG? :hmm:

Yes he's wrong because it had nothing to do with the context of the discussion. It was a classic strawman argument, bringing up the same old talking points while avoiding the real issue, and that's why he got do much flack. Skip asked him 2 or 3 times about cubans true intent and he deflected with arguments about job interviews and speaking correctly. That's a classic coon tactic.

Stephan is grateful to be back at Espn after they fired his ass....of course he is going to take the" black people deal with the shit and better yourself ....once we get better they will accept us" approach.....

Dude started talking about pants hanging of peoples ass.....job interviews.....deflection like a muthafucka....none of that has shit to do with what mark cuban said .....

The vast majority of Black America's problems (poverty, disenfranchisement, lower than average educational outcomes, etc.) stem from intentional acts by white Americans (slavery, redlining, Jim Crow, The War on Drugs, etc.)

Any argument about Black America's issues without a historical and current reference to that prevailing fact is step & fetching - a subject in which Stephen A. has a given an honorary doctorate.

If this point was based on his original statements, I pseudo agree, yet in the context of his second video, the issue of why he was attacked is much broader than Cuban's statement, and he very eloquently made his point. I have no problem with what he said, and no one here knows him personally, so to attack him personally based on his opinion just because some don't agree with it actually shows more ignorance than what he is being accused of... :hmm:
