i think its more about career length and impact than accomplishments

Dirk didnt accomplish a WHOLE lot, but him being a pioneer to the stretch 5, his game consistency, bringing a trophy to Dallas, and his long career....a farewell tour was well deserved

same with Vince Carter, outside of dunk contests what has he accomplished? another veteran who deserves one and will probably get one.
