Stephen A. responds to Russell Westbrook

Gotta agree with SA on this. When your getting paid $206 million, people expect a championship. Not just a show. Championships matter to every franchise.
Actually number 1 thing is making your team marketable and it being a moneymaker.. this is a biz first... most owners know their team aint winning a ring in a particular year, decade, etc.. they just know as long as they can convince people to buy merchandise, pay for tix, pay for sports packages they are happy.. winning a ring is nice , it’s the icing on the cake, it’s bragging rights, but lot of owners know they won’t have a banner hanging from their bleachers.. people like the Knicks owner know his team ain’t winning shit but he has loyalists that will continue supporting that team no matter what..the realization is most owners wish they had his type of consumer base..idiot fans that have low expectations of the product or get hyped ever so often when a certain player comes sign.. people like him and jerry Jones have mastered the art of selling a product that isn’t going to win.. most owners wish they had that type of game

Russell gives EVERYTHING on the court, every game. Things have not worked out, yet. I just don't get the hate. I respect the brother.

we joke about him being stat paddington

but on the real?

Russell Westbrook is one of the greatest modern athletes we have ever seen

he NEVER backs down never takes a night off

Great family man charitable no mess off the court

His voice and his words MEAN something and are respected on and off the court.

WTF more you want.

yet AGAIN SAS was some ole bullsh*t.

Stephen A needs to shut the fuck up. Oh wait, that's his job to talk shit. Players make the big money and he shits on them because they're not #1.

I'm with Russ all the way.

TO been a coon.

Had a good black QB and did everything to tear him down.

Had a white QB and sheds tears defending him after he played like trash.

I dont want to hear from TO.

Nah, c'mon bruh that's a bit harsh. TO's been a clown at times, but never a coon. :hmm:

I disagree. Only 1 team wins a championship per year, that means 29 others wont. The entire premise of placing these NBA players worth based on a superficial thing as a championship ring just isn't believable anymore. LeBron has 4 and is still the most scrutinized athlete in sports. KD has 2 and is seen as a bitch ass nigga by most sports fans. Kobe Bryant has 5 and they are never mentioned anymore by his fans since he died, he couldnt take them with him. NBA championships are worthless and hold no value outside of sports media and fans cherry picking the athletes they respect off them. Russ is a HOFer and will go down as one of the best of his era, championship or not. That is success. Russ gets paid to perform at a high level his salary isn't predicated on winning chips. And expecting him to win a chip in a sports town like Washington isnt realistic.

Steven A Smith aint shit butt Stacy Dash in butch drag. ESPN needs to be sued for black hate speech. Thay call themselves an entertainment network but there hate for black males is disgusting.

You never see this shit on any other news network except Fox. He and Whitlock are like hired house niggas with the sole purpose of talking shit about black athletes.

Meanwhile Steven A doesn't go ve a damn about Tom Brady's republican connection to people like Trump and throwing white power signs.

BGOL is a Democratic board that doesnt give a damn about Tom Brady's Republican connection. Hes white so the board dick sucks him and is respectful to his fans.

BGOL been trolling and demonizing people for supporting LeBron (a successful Black Democrat) for over 15 years. Totally dedicated to white supremacy in sports. BGOL is majority white and hispanic mofos pretending to be Black. They even busted out FTPs to hide and talk shit during the Finals last year. Yet no FTPs in the Super Bowl thread this year to troll Brady or his fans, I checked. It was nothing but love and respect. :smh:

Stephen A and most of the talking heads are coons and you are correct their job is to over scrtutinize Black athletes and promote propoganda to their majority white audience. Athletes like LeBron and Westbrook are used as proxies for all of us, thats why you have white and black fans who stay dedicated and root against them every time for 10-15-20 years straight. The shit they spew works, thats why they get paid an athletes salary.

Shiiiiiit

Dude has 20 jobs at ESPN

To put it in perspective, Tony Romo probably makes around the same amount and works 20 weekends a year.
Stephen A makes roughly 8 million a year with ESPN.

Romo signed and 10 year 180 million dollar extension\contract.

This is my take. Atleast Russ didn't hop on the Warriors bandwagon like KD did and stayed loyal to OKC. Russ could have easily be on a winning team right now had he asked for a trade like James Harden did but he didn't. I respect Russ more for not ring chasing.

Athletes are entertainers. Russ brings brings it every night and we're entertained. The ROI on him is worth the contract.

Met Westbrook through my years of coaching AAU ball. Good dude and cool as hell.

Just from little conversation and the vibe, the brother really wants to win a championship. He has a championship mentality to me.

But its Stephen A job to criticize players. He didn't say anything out of pocket or disrespectful.

This is the main point. He gave RWB his praises and even said he was probably the most prolific point guard we have ever seen....He was just saying that stats don't really matter because we know what you can do, now get a ring...That's his viewpoint and I don't see anything wrong with what he said....

Emotional Intelligence is something people need to learn and use a little bit more....
