Actually number 1 thing is making your team marketable and it being a moneymaker.. this is a biz first... most owners know their team aint winning a ring in a particular year, decade, etc.. they just know as long as they can convince people to buy merchandise, pay for tix, pay for sports packages they are happy.. winning a ring is nice , it’s the icing on the cake, it’s bragging rights, but lot of owners know they won’t have a banner hanging from their bleachers.. people like the Knicks owner know his team ain’t winning shit but he has loyalists that will continue supporting that team no matter what..the realization is most owners wish they had his type of consumer base..idiot fans that have low expectations of the product or get hyped ever so often when a certain player comes sign.. people like him and jerry Jones have mastered the art of selling a product that isn’t going to win.. most owners wish they had that type of gameGotta agree with SA on this. When your getting paid $206 million, people expect a championship. Not just a show. Championships matter to every franchise.
Russell gives EVERYTHING on the court, every game. Things have not worked out, yet. I just don't get the hate. I respect the brother.
I don't watch basketball but Stephen saying that dude gets paid too much?
I think Stephen gets paid too much.

Dude has 20 jobs at ESPN
To put it in perspective, Tony Romo probably makes around the same amount and works 20 weekends a year.

My fault.3. WNBA count. Ladies matter!!
Yes he did. Fuck that nigga and fuck you too.
TO been a coon.
Had a good black QB and did everything to tear him down.
Had a white QB and sheds tears defending him after he played like trash.
I dont want to hear from TO.
I disagree. Only 1 team wins a championship per year, that means 29 others wont. The entire premise of placing these NBA players worth based on a superficial thing as a championship ring just isn't believable anymore. LeBron has 4 and is still the most scrutinized athlete in sports. KD has 2 and is seen as a bitch ass nigga by most sports fans. Kobe Bryant has 5 and they are never mentioned anymore by his fans since he died, he couldnt take them with him. NBA championships are worthless and hold no value outside of sports media and fans cherry picking the athletes they respect off them. Russ is a HOFer and will go down as one of the best of his era, championship or not. That is success. Russ gets paid to perform at a high level his salary isn't predicated on winning chips. And expecting him to win a chip in a sports town like Washington isnt realistic.
Steven A Smith aint shit butt Stacy Dash in butch drag. ESPN needs to be sued for black hate speech. Thay call themselves an entertainment network but there hate for black males is disgusting.
You never see this shit on any other news network except Fox. He and Whitlock are like hired house niggas with the sole purpose of talking shit about black athletes.
Meanwhile Steven A doesn't go ve a damn about Tom Brady's republican connection to people like Trump and throwing white power signs.

Stephen A makes roughly 8 million a year with ESPN.
Romo signed and 10 year 180 million dollar extension\contract.
Met Westbrook through my years of coaching AAU ball. Good dude and cool as hell.
Just from little conversation and the vibe, the brother really wants to win a championship. He has a championship mentality to me.
But its Stephen A job to criticize players. He didn't say anything out of pocket or disrespectful.
