PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing former Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
Haskins, who met with coaches in Pittsburgh on Thursday, will join a quarterback room that features Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph and Josh Dobbs.

Very strange. Didn't expect this at all. With this move I'd expect Matt Canada to officially be named the OC. I believe he signed off on this.

Dwayne Haskins is gonna be one of them cats getting bounced around the league
as a backup QB for years on out because of potential and name recognition, not a bad way to make millions of dollars

He hired the same agent as Mike Tomlin.......Steelers are a really good organizational fit for him now they just need to get a legit OC and some damn running backs. Before you know it he will be a solid underpaid starter for the Steelers when Rapistburger gets hurt or quits on the team in 2021

It's a no-lose move for Pittsburg. If the smack in the face of going from first round to cut doesn't straighten him out then maybe when the Steelers cut him it will. If he plays well and stays then he has it made because Pitt has always used big, pocket passers with a little bit of wheels when needed. It's a system he should work well in.

I'm always for a brother in this racist league getting another chance like an AB as bad as even the bs cba is toward the majority black players. Clearly a good move for the Steelers at a bargain and an upside steel :) if he becomes a solid player. I thought he was overrated in college... So this slow inconsistency start of his career and immature attitude in the NFL didn't surprise me. But hell, I also thought Colt McCoy was way overrated in college too...shidddd I turned a game this year and heard his name and I thought nah that muthafker can't still be in the league... So as many trash ass white quarterbacks get to stay in the league, this brother at the very least, should get this opportunity. A good oc with a veteran QB who nearly and literally fk'd himself out of the hall of fame and millions could mentor him to a solid starter. Let's see bc Mason ain't it. Never been the same after that raven hit.
