Star is not in control of the situation. At his peak he said/did what he wanted even if it got him kicked off the air. Also the people he worked with were yes men. Charlemagne's format is a watered down version of what Star's show used to be.
It's amazing dudes seem to worship him for keeping it real. He's showing how phony he is right now. First episode he said he was taking a pay cut. He wouldn't be acting like this if it wasn't for a check.

Yea.. Star is full of shit. ... and all a sudden hes a hip hop fan when his entire shtick was to shit on the genre and culture.
The guy is funny to me in small doses.. and being on there with Star gassing him should be entertaining. I plan to watch it tonite.
I can't lie, I like his energy. I don't agree with or like all that he does though.
still digging the show and checking for it religiously...hope star and ak continue to rub off on each other...I like that star fact checks ak...he has a habit of drawing wild conclusions or saying baseless things w/ nothing to support it...I like that ak is a real fan of the genre and will ask star to provide concrete reasons why he likes/dislikes a song...he can give generic responses for only so long...nadeka seems to have more of a voice now as star asks for her take on things more often...I like the pacing of the show...goes by very fast and I’m not one for normally watching/listening to these types of shows/podcasts due to the length...yesterday’s ep was cool...star seemed to be patronizing blac but he didn’t pick up on it @ all
I’ve watched every episode this season...have actually found myself the last few days waiting for the shit to drop @ 11AM on the dot...the new nigga who guest host is cool too...he go @ ak hard as shit sometimes lol...the shit this morning when they got into it over lonzo ball was funny...I think he’s good as a guest tho cuz he doesn’t handle ak properly...star defers to ak @ times due to his age and him knowing the music a little bit more but wayno doesn’t seem to have a high tolerance for ak @ times...them going back and forth everyday like they did today would get old quick imo
The one thing about Star and Wayno, like Joe, is that they've put in the work in and around the business outside of just commentary. Youthful arrogance has to be checked just like an old person who needs to be an oppressor in order to stay relavent and in power needs to be put out to pasture.
And it was funny seeing Nadeska get riled up when star respectfully shitted on SZA.

on everything I can see wayno making ak cry on the set one day lmao...ak is your typical internet nigga where he speaks A LOT off conjecture and is usually left unchecked...happens a lot on this board where dudes will say some wild shit w/ nothing to back it up and most times it’ll go unchecked...but when someone who knows wtf they’re talking about holds them to task they end up looking silly as fuck...there’s a lot of shit star can’t check ak on cuz he’s out of touch...wayno on the other hand has been able to easily call out ak on a lot of the baseless shit he says and invalidates a lot of his points that way...today’s ep was a prime example of that...this is why I can see them not having him appear on the show all the time...best example was @ 38:00 when star and wayno kinda team up on ak lol

I hate to say it but sometimes wayno gotta let some of ak’s bullshit slide...it was subtle but he was @ ak’s throat today and chopped down a lot of his bullshit...I understand where he’s coming from tho...he’s from the last era of niggas where you still had to deal w/ ppl face to face and couldn’t just say any old bullshit...but it’s not that entertaining if he’s going to attempt to invalidate everything ak says

These types of chicks like their entertainment on screen or on the radio. It can be clowning, crass, and down right disrespectful. It's cool as long as they can control the volume. But let you walk in the room talking cash shit about stuff you can prove and they can't control it. They don't know what do but get the screw face.
But it was funny how Star turned in to Galvatron and blasted Ak away like he was Starscream when he told him the culture doesn't respect him.
idk if I’m reading too much into shit but there seemed to be a lot of uneasy tension during today’s ep...I think having wayno on everyday leads to the “too many cooks” expression...he’s good to have as a guest every now and then but there’s no need for him and star there every day...I liked the chemistry ak and star were building up...but w/ wayno there (who seems to be a bit more knowledgeable and relevant than star) it seems star has been reduced to saying more outlandish shit...star has experience but he’s really disconnected from the artists...and now w/ the addition of wayno who is also experienced (coupled w/ him still having ties to some of these young artists) star’s role on the show has diminished and almost appears to be obsolete...shit they might even be phasing him out...maybe I’m just projecting my opinion too much
