Spurs Vs Grizzles Thread

Spurs about to win the chip as I predicted at the beginning of the playoffs and well before All-Star break. I'm a prophet.

i'm gonna say this... and i'm going to bed.

the ONLY coach capable of out-scheming coach pop with this current spurs team is larry brown.

yep... larry brown. :yes::yes::yes:

i say that bc they're cut from the same cloth: TEAM offense + TEAM defense.

coach pop versus spoelstra or vogel = not good.

Man I swear every bucket Tony Parker scores is off a pick/screen

You know that shit is coming and it will still kill you

Grizzlies luck just ran out

Nobody on the Spurs was injured for them to capitalize on

Is this the go-to statement for everybody?

An hobbled Griffin team is better than full Grizz team

Okc still had the better team without Russell

We earned our way here, niggas here letting their hair down now, disrespecting..........

But like I said the luck ran out

Nobody in the building could stop tony Parker... Mike Conley gone be having nightmares about him

I just hate losing to the spurs ... I hate them bitches

1st finals sweep in 10 years.
Best sweep series ive ever watched. It was closer than what history will show.

Parker has been eating all play-offs. Like for real. EATING!

His mid-range game is lights out.
Best in the league.

Miami Heat vs Tim Duncan and the boring ass San Antonio Spurs :smh:
If you say watching this team is boring then you arent a fan of the sport.

Rudy Gay? We don't need no stinkin Rudy Gay, we got Z-Bo!!!

:smh::smh: idiots
Yea, because they got to the finals last year with Gay. :hmm:

na playa just being sarcastic...they are the perfect example of a team that listens to its coach and go about their game plan...nothin boring about that...u know how
the media and average fan says this all the time bout the spurs

Manu running point. Spurs in trouble now.
Like i said... this guy tried his BEST to give this game away at the end. Glad Pop wised up and yanked that clown. He had like 4 turnovers after i typed this post. This guy is and always has been overrated euro trash! Easily one of the dumbest players in the league.

You said that shit last your and okc have the that work

Reserve your bullshit ass predictions lmaoo

The Spurs are boring to watch because they play fundamental /"old school" type basketball. If other teams played that type of ball and werent focused specifically on "highlight worthy" fast break points and easy paint buckets...then maybe more teams would be contenders instead of pretenders.

I know the Spurs have fallen to the younger teams for number of years now, but we need more teams like the Spurs in order to provide balance in the NBA. If we had some of these younger teams that cant make the playoffs playing like the Spurs...then maybe overrated teams like the Heat wouldnt have such easy rides to wins/titles.

He thinks if they play the Heat, it will go down like Memphis.. Mach up wise the Spurs are way less of a threat than OKC...
Let me break it down..
With out Ganobli at full strength there just ain't enough fire power on S.A.
Duncan is good for 25, you can't expect Parker to get more than 27 vs Cole (last game with out James and Wade Cole held Parker to 12pts) ,Rio and sometimes James...
Plus both Parker and Duncan will be forced to play most of the mins, because as soon as they go to their bench Miami will really feast and being that the Heat are more physical, deeper and quick at the same time, this will eventually wear them down..
The Spurs are a very good team, but the Heat presents all types of match up hell against them..

when you run the pick & roll as efficiently as the spurs, it really creates matchup problems, esp when Parker is making jumpers.

the reason why is simple: the roll man is Tim cot damn Duncan...one of the only players to actually use the glass in the nba; he squares up properly on every shot!

Miami does have the weapons to wear them down tho...and it's gonna answer a lot of questions since the last time lebron faced the spurs. this time, he will have a supporting cast.

the issues:
1. can Tony keep up the high percentage shooting?
2. Will Haslem keep up his shooting?
3. is Wade healthy?
4. can coach spoelstra adjust on the fly bc you know with a week, coach pop will be devising a master plan?
5. Will Indiana wear them down by next Thursday?

1-The pick and roll is not that effective vs teams who can rotate and move their feet on defense like the Heat..
2-As far as Tony, he has problems vs the defense of Cole, last game he scored 12 pts vs him and cant expect him to score more than 27.
3-Wade dosn't need to be 100% with the match up vs the Spurs players like Battier and Allen should have more spacing, due to S.A. having to play more team defense vs LeBron.
4-No comment about Spo..
5-I think Indiana will keep them sharp, similar to the way Boston did to them last year..
6- As far as S.A. bench, once Parker and Duncan come out the game, there will be a huge drop in talent, especially with Ginobilli not up to par, this will allow the Heat to be more physcial and more aggressive being that they have more fouls to give and a much deeper bench (remeber the Heat beat the Spurs with out LeBron, Wade, and Rio, at S.A. in a very important game for the Spurs..) That game their bench was only able to score 21 points, vs the Heat third stringers..
