ESPN has made the decision to restrict Max Kellerman from engaging in any work-related activities following his departure from the company. This includes appearing on television or participating in any other form of work.

Despite no longer being employed by ESPN, Kellerman is being compensated for his services and is therefore prohibited from taking on any additional work.

And that’s how come he’s never been seen on television or engaging in any other work. In fact, he is getting paid by ESPN to do nothing!

Kellerman, the original host of ‘Around the Horn,’ went on to become a media star at The Worldwide Leader in Sports, working alongside Stephen A. Smith on ‘First Take.’ However, a falling out with Stephen A. saw him removed from the show before he was let go altogether in 2023.

Since then, he hasn’t been seen on television and also hasn’t been active on social media.

Kellerman’s decision to keep a low profile has everything to do with the money he’s still making from ESPN.

The analyst was still under contract with the company when he was ousted, so he’s still making what he would have made if he’d been kept on. All he has to do to keep those checks coming is nothing.

Max’s longtime friend Brian Kenny recently discussed the situation with Awful Announcing.

“[Max is] on ice, as they say,” he explained. “He texted me because I reached out to him after that happened. I said, ‘That’s awful.’ And he said, ‘Hey, look, I’ll get paid for doing nothing. Best job I’ve ever had.’ It’s so strange in this era of corporate layoffs that they lay you off, and you can’t work, but they’ll pay you. You can’t do anything while they’re paying you.”

No TV appearances, no nothing. Poor guy must be twiddling his thumbs at home. Talk about a harsh contract terms but hey, since he’s getting paid, that’s all that matters!

Tony a real cool dude...I met him about 15 years ago in DC.....

Tony is a large part responsible for giving a lot of black young writers a platform to showcase themselves. They watch ATH and see that _______ is good on TV or they can mold them. I'm glad Bo, Jemele, Michael Smith and Mina showed up in the final weeks.

Now in the future we're going to get the Morris twins and Kendrick Perkins, because they seem to want to be player focused, and journalism is dying.

Good Riddance all three of those shows suck.

They need to bring Shannon Back, get him a good partner and let's go.

They need to get rid of the Emmanuel Acho experiment, he just doesn't translate.
Shady McCoy just isn't good on TV
Keyshawn aint talking about nothing.
The weak link in the Breakfast Ball was Craig Carton, I really like Mark Schlereth.
I'm down with Joy getting another show, but she may be just a little too much baggage right now.

I see they didn't scrap First Things First, I think it is a good show.

Pat Mcafee isn't no damn civil rights leader,
That's a got you question. She needs to talk to the big wigs, not Mcafee

Fair. But McAfee can't want the money, exposure and power and NONE of the questions or accountability.

Can't be that.

Cause if he was Black? He would be asked about everything they think is "cultural".

You want all the benefits? You need to pay that tax too.

I don't like gotcha questions no matter who is the target.
They do it to these young athletes all the time, and they don't give a damn about the answer,
they just want to go viral making an athlete look stupid.

When it comes to Pat, maybe they should have prepped him with some non answer answers. :dunno:

^^^ that's all I'm saying. They NOT gonna stop asking us "black" questions while not asking white players sh*t.

If they can do that to young black athletes about police brutality etc?

Pat McAfee rich white ass can take a tough question once and awhile.
