Sports Legal: Supreme Court rules for college athletes in compensation dispute with NCAA (NIL)

This is going to be very interesting. I want these young people to get their money if they make it to the league or not. These colleges are making a ton of money off these kids. It’s about time they get a piece of the pie.

There's been an adjustment to the announcement.

Danielson wasn’t putting a strict embargo in place on freshmen earning via NIL deals, but that the program would not be promising or offering NIL deals to recruits or first year players.

While freshmen — particularly not high-profile former recruits — likely earn less on average than upperclassmen at most programs, such a public announcement is unheard of, for obvious reasons, as a notion that a program is unwilling to play ball in NIL is prime ammo for schools recruiting against them.

Boise State, it was made clear after the initial report, won’t prohibit athletes from working with local businesses in whatever capacity they chose to do so on their own.

thank you

My issue wit NIL's is, MOST OF THESE MUTHAFUCKAS DON'T DESERVE IT!

I'm saddened that players from the past who were actually stars in college missed out on getting money.

Like The Fab 5, Shaq, Vince Carter, Zion, players like that etc.

Most of these new players aren't stars. They're good, not stars and are just being paid to go to schools to make their teams better.

It ain't never been about what you deserve it's about what you negotiate

What about all these obscenely overpaid white coaches over the decades?

You would lie to recruits and leave schools at a drop of the hat?
