Very wealthy people out here the top 5 richest people in California live in the Bay. Wait until they build that new arena in SF. Tickets going to cost 500 for nose bleeds.

Crowd won't be the same :smh:
No doubt. I went to one 49ers game at Levi's stadium and that told me all I need to know about Jed Fucking York and what's going on. A bunch of tech idiots with I pads at the game not paying attention. I sat next to two Indians who were doing expense reports on Mac books. When it gets hot everybody goes to the bar and has martinis and garlic fries with sushi. I was disgusted. Games at candlestick were worse than Raider games. You had real fans there, none of this. The old joke was 9ers fans are wine and cheese types, now they are. Literally. This was not the case. The Stick was in the hood , going to 9ers games was grimy. Walking past the Bay View housing projects to get to the stadium. There was a unity amongst fans in there. Now half these idiots don't know the rules of football. This is what's happening with the warriors. It's a place to be seen. I hate it.

I hate the new owners... pricing out real fans. It's getting to the point where only these bandwagon ass tech cacs can afford to go. They're playoff tickets were so expensive it helped raise the cap

NBA cap will go higher than expected after accounting for Warriors' historic playoff revenue

Charged so much for finals tickets, even the Cavs felt they were getting gouged for tickets for friends/family :smh:
Man, sports teams have been pricing out real fans for the past two decades. It's a better game to watch on my Samsung 55" 3D TV any God damn way. And wait till I get my 85"... you won't be able to tell me shyt

I like the atmosphere, but I always consider is that vibe worth $25 parking, $10 beers, an hour wait to leave the stadium in traffic. We usually catch the train to the game, but we like to tailgate, so someone has to drive...

And no drinking and driving.

Which leads to this problem here. If I'm too fucked up, I'll just get an Uber and come back to get my car tomorrow.

Nope. My food is cheaper, my beer (if I drank beer) ain't the amount a 6 pack is. Motherfucking $4 for one, ONE bottled water. I went ot the Cavs Pistons playoff game, paid $35 for nosebleeds and watched the gigantic screen most of the time. I'm good on games for the most part

I get the atmosphere thing, but I used to work at Jacobs Field AND Cleveland Municipal Stadium (for the old Browns before I left for bootcamp). I've seen it all

They are killing their low to middle income fanbase...which is where most future NBA basketball players come from.

Most NBA players were too poor to attend games outside of being tickets as a part of bribes. The Steph Currys of the world will still go and this is not going to keep the next LeBron from taking part in the sport.

I think this stereotype about a correlation between wealth (more precisely, the lack of wealth) and being a real fan is not only false but the opposite of true. People working multiple jobs or struggling to maintain basic luxuries like home internet are not paying as much attention to the NBA as folks who can afford to go to the games.

Also, more revenue meaning more money going to the players is a good thing to me.

ThIs is not true. People will always find the time for things they love.

No, this is about the fact that the regular Joe were never in the stadium cheering on their teams. There is a reason why there are no black fans in the stadium near the camera on winning teams.

Curry, Thompson, & Durant on the court at the same time, man it's gonna be pretty scary :eek2:

Hey. I don't miss much people who go. I'm glad that somebody goes so I don't have to. If everybody thought like me then there will be a lot of games that wouldn't be showing on TV anymore.

But people mad about players getting paid:hmm:..the rich will always win because people never concentrate on what's in front of them..

I agree with you about the benefits of watching at home. The implication that rich people can't be real sports fans is a weird one to me. Someone like billionaire Mark Cuban is clearly a real fan, right? I don't know why people insist on this fantasy about the real sports fan being a middle class guy who goes to a bar where everybody knows his name.

And see that's my thing and your right. Ticket prices have been getting out of hand for a long time now. 1980 World Series it was 12$ to go to the Vet to see the Royals-Philles. I don't think you can get into the building for less than 300$ now. When it comes to sporting events if I'm not sitting in the first I'll say 9 rows, I'll watch that shit home. Fuck sitting way up by the flags and lights en shit. That's why I love Stubhub. Sit where you want and just look for a good deal. Problem with that comes when you take a family. That's when it prices you out. Food, parking, those fuckin foam fingers. :money: Fuck, Jerry Jones charging 75-90$ to park. :smh:
