I was born mid-80s, started watching basketball around 97, same year as Penny's big knee injury. He wasn't totally washed by then but I never saw him like I did MJ (last two Chicago years, watched a good number of Bulls games as a Knicks fan), Reggie, Starks, etc. I may have seen him but don't remember too much Magic or Suns in the "NBA on NBC" days.

I remember when a few people pointed out to me "Shaddy is actually older than you" when I used to make certain jokes.

Steph is not in the conversation. Period. The Magic hot reality to it. I'm a die hard laker fan and magic one of the greatest to me too. Considering magic career cut short by his own dick, I got to mention john stockton who gave magic fits. If i leave fanboy sentiments aside, I got to go with john stockton. I know,,,, but that who I saw dominating in all aspects of the position in my lifetime.

Jr Jr skyhook for the win against a frontline of 3 HOF players in their face. yeah they have different games, but Reggie Miller is more clutch than Steph to me. Nothing in the question si talking about effective and efficient. We are talking GOAT. magics teams beat a 3 time champion Celtics and a b2b champion Pistons. Oh, and add Dr. J in there twice.

Curry and them beat a 1 time champion Cavs and lost to Canada.

Duncan won his second season. Kawhi, Duncan, Magic all went to good teams. Lakers were a 47 win team when they drafted Magic #1 overall. They weren't bottom feeders. Duncan had a healthy Robinson. Kawhi went to the best team in the East. Sure the teams weren't built around them, but they were playoff teams before them dudes got there.

Ok they joined good teams. But they managed to keep winning throughout the course of their NBA career. Tim played on wack sauce teams just like kawi and magic. Yet they still won. Only way you go your entire NBA career winning 70% of your games is if you know how to play around players.

Tim & Magic are all time greats. They carried teams. Kawhi's run coincides with Tim's run who was very effective late in his career still. Then he goes to a 59 win team. Not ready to put him there yet. He hasn't taken shit & turned it into sugar. The Clippers are a decent team & he got an all star with him. I'm a Dallas fan. Toine wasn't good when he got here, he was brought specifically to play with Dirk in a role that featured his skills. He wasn't in good shape though & we weren't all that stacked. Just won a bunch of meaningless regular season games.

Niggas either don’t know or forgot that Magic led his HS team to a state championship, lead his college team to a NCAA championship and led his NBA team rookie year playing center putting up damn near 50 points to win a championship all under a 4 year period.

Not to mention the Magic vs Bird rivalry saved the NBA and without it there probably would be no Jordan or Curry. So With the upmost respect fuck steph.

The bulls were the 5th seed that yr and they lost their top rebounder to the magic the team that beat them eventually...notice once bulls found another rebounder they went on another 3 peat... Funny how people 4get these things

you do realize Kareem had an unstoppable hook shot right? Being that there are pretty much no more centers people like Kareem would feast down the middle... Can't forget that he can rebound and block... Also you do know they were called Showtime cause how fast they ran up and down the court and pretty much scored at will... Magic is 2 inches shorter than Durant whose stopping him on the post or going down the middle?
