i think the only person that can defeat eminem in a one on one face to face battle is Big L
I'm a big Mos Def fan but Em is that dude. I'd luv to see that battle as well as a battle between both of them and Black Thought of the Roots.
This would be one to pay to see for sure...I dont think its an "easy win for Mos by any means"...put them in a neutral site, even crowd and I think Em wins a close one..
Lets be honest here,Em couldn't fuck with RhymeFest and he can barely keep up with Royce da 5'9 who killed his friends with that Malcom X joint he dropped.Oh and lets not get into that Canibus situation either.

BGOL CACs are just getting hyped because their only real representation in hip-hop is getting ready to come back. Eminem don't talk about shit. He's a decent lyricist but his subject matter is garbage. Don't nobody give a fuck about that trailer trash wife of his or that lil' Hayley, either. I think that's the only freestyle battle Em ever took an L in and this battle was before he signed with Dre.
I ain't making excuses for nobody. I saw what I saw, and until I see better, it is what it is. EM has ALL the time and opportunity in the world to . . . redeem himself. I just don't think THAT will happen on MOS' watch.

i don't usually have a whole lot of time to post here, but i often times when able, read things on here and respect many of the questions raised as well as enjoy the friendly debates sparked. i was browsing and this one caught my eye.
em is no doubt talented and splits cats heads on mics effortlessly(well, used to. he's a bit questionable now), but i honestly can't see him even coming close to remotely killing mos on the mic as someone mentioned above.
punchlines are cool, but the crowd also peeps style and delivery. finesse. mos has that. em doesn't... and with both of them being as seasoned as they are, folks won't be looking simply for the wordplay. they'll be peeping the overall.
also: em is also like mentioned above, at best slightly above average on a collective scale...exceptional when viewed specifically as a white emcee, but ultimately as much of a novelty as a white broad with ass.
oh, and no hatred on the D. i got peops there and believe wholeheartedly that some of the hottest shit came and is coming from there. real talk, i think elzhi would SMASH em and be a more worthy adversary for mos.

I never said you were. I mainly said that for those who might think that was a more recent battle. You can hear it in the flow but Juice was definitely the better mc in that battle.
both of their last couple projects have been lackluster
Thought would take them both, but since he isn't as popular people would give it to one of them.
