Things I liked:

Dealing with the impact of divorces and split ups on the kids
Showcasing black art, artists and musicians
Theme of redemption and balance: Especially Devin's sub plot.
*EDIT* Puerto Rico trip was lovely. I need to get there
Prince Tribute
Fine ass black woman everywhere

Things they could have done better:

The dig at Black Brits. Felt like they were taking shots unfairly here
This all goes back to Sam Jackson's comments https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...ing-of-black-british-actors-in-american-films.
It's worthy of debate, but I felt like Spike just took shots here without exploring why these roles aren't going to these American Black actors and actresses.

Nola's final piece: They built it up to be this incredibly controversial piece, but I didn't think it was shocking at all. In fact I would expect any Black HS artist with some wokeness to produce something like this. The debate and conflict it caused is probably way more controversial than the piece itself.
