Hell no.
It ain't hurting the character at all. The movie execution is hurting the character.
Make him as human mentally as possible. Ain't no sense of duty like that in all humans.
He should be tortured with what he signed up to do because it ain't EASY when everything in your being is trying to live a cool normal life.

I always thought it was bullshit that he's working a 12 hour shift at the paper then is happy to change clothes and go save someone then come back home and listen to Lois complain about some shit

that ain't what a man would do. Not even a man with Godly powers.

Spider man gets to be mad as shit as his life and he don't even have a real job, he just takes selfies and sells them to the paper but Superman can't after covering some shitty dog show?

Superman is the perfect embodiment of "I didn't come here for this"

The extended version was a much better film, I'm still trying to figure out who the fucking fool was at WB to edit out all that shit in the theater version,

I did love the soundtrack except for Lex's theme, fuck Lex anyway, horrible casting.

I still have hope for the solo Batman flicks, I think Deathstroke will be a good as villain.

it doesn't match the pacing and because the edit is so atrocious transitions clash sonically or jarring at best

look at every scene with the wonderwoman score - an upbeat battle tempo being played during any association with her
ie : Bats gets her data - theme plays while he is sitting browsing files on pc before cut into dream / nap

I hadn't watched it since the first time I saw it. And I recently watched it again on HBO. Figured I would since I'm gonna watch the extended edition so I can have a fresh comparison. I just wanted to stay away from the movie for a while. I still feel you the same you do about Batman. The Batman/Bruce Wayne parts was some the most entertaining stuff I've seen done with the character. Even compared to the Bale movies. But that's due to Affleck's version existing with other heroes and that's a big advantage. Also with this being a Batman that has had a Robin get killed and seeing what happens when metahumans and murderous villains take lives without blinking, it's easier to see why maiming a fool into death who stands in his way feel a bit more plausible.


But that Spiderman movie, the sooner I see it, the better.

I recently watched the unlimited cut of BvS. The extra information received from the cut scenes makes the movie much better for me. Those plot holes made a decent movie difficult to enjoy and then even have a positive discussion about it later. I didn't hate the original coming out of it, but I wasn't impressed. I expected to have a feeling of excitement and anticipation for the next chapter/movie just like I did after "Man of Steel". I couldn't wait for the next Superman movie after "Man of Steel". I wait for Justice League with little excitement and low expectations.

With regards to the darker tone of Superman, I totally disagree with complaints about him. I like that Superman is not overly and unrealistically positive. He should be conflicted considering who he is and the shit he suddenly has to deal with virtually overnight. The way those that criticize the portrayal of today's Superman by romanticizing previous adaptations is comparable to how people legit act like America is the greatest country in Earth, for all people and all things. They want to ignore our deny the clear problems, in favor of always being positive and lying to ourselves and each other.

Agreed the international trailer was better but the fact remains that the underlying vibe and feel of a millennial Spiderman was captured in both.

Being my favorite superhero I really love what they did with Spidey, I can't fucking wait!

Also was that Bookeem Woodbine as the Shocker?!

I do agree that the editing on this is off but I'm going to chalk this trailer up to this being the first trailer for a Sony/Disney movie. I think the next trailer will be fire and you know Marvel isn't going to let you down.

but in my circle it has become a family tradition

all the kids in my family, I introduced them to comic books

and they got so happy and proud now that they are grown to take old Uncle Playa to the movies

about all the stories I used to read to them and actually TAUGHT them to read and write using.

denzel: what are u talking about..my dad gave me these comic books and i learned how to read, his dad gave him those comics and it taught him how to read, i gave these comic books to our kids and they learned how to read, and they gave our grandkids these same comic books and now they reading..that's 5 damn generations that were educated through these damn comic books u always give me crap about for reading..to you these are comic books to me and the rest of my family it was the gateway to learning..now how bout that for facing the real world without these damn comics my granddad prob would've been an uneducated negro cause he wasn't allowed books at his broking down schools back in the days..so the next time u look at my comic books and me reading them sideways u remember that woman
