The Ivy League was formally created in 1954 and has only ever included these eight schools: Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Penn, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, and Cornell.
What do these schools have in common, they're all private.
They try to say they're a public ivy, and that they were invited, but would have had to given up being a private school.
