Lol duh we knows it's her theory. She's the one saying it everywhere. You're repeating it.

Yes she add. The point is this matter happen after she received the Oscar.
Now here's what he added:
“We were out on the campaign and she was making unreasonable demands … and this is where reverse racism, I think, happens,” said the film-maker. “I said, ‘You have to thank the producers of the film, you have to thank the studio’, and I think she didn’t understand that. And I said, ‘Listen, people aren’t going to respond well if you don’t.’”
Only people making more money after the winning an Oscar were already making a lot of money in movies. Monique got it twisted and thought her Oscar equated to her being in great demand. When more then likely, just like they did Halle Berry, they gave her an Oscar on a roll that made white people comfortable. One was a bed winch whore, the other was a fat unattractive mammy type character, neither putting black women in a powerful status. Now Monique shits on the black people with some power. She fucked up, and should of took the 500K check to hopefully re-invent herself, if the standup was truly funny.
She's still is popular, and her sales are decent, but pretty much every song since her second album hasn't really been pop but more Jazz or Baroque like she isn't really marketable to the mainstream. I guess the better way to say it, she's big with people who like college radio bands like Florence + the Machine, Vampire Weekend and Regina Spektor, the indy crowd.

I tried not to laugh...but that “most decorated comedian alive” comment....
i have nothing against mo'nique....
at the same time....i was never a big fan of hers....
but i heard back in the day....behind the scenes she was checkin' these white producers who would try to portray black women in a negative light....so assumin' that's true she gets props for that...
as far as her negotiations with netflix....i felt like she made a misstep...
gettin' on the internet and sayin' netflix is only offerin' you $500k...is not a good move...
because most people in this country will never see $500 grand in their lifetime....so you're not gonna get any sympathy from them....
if you didn't like the amount...politely decline...and produce your own special....
but at the same time...she has a point...because she does have awards and accolades...
how many oscars has Amy Schumar won again?
if it was ellen degeneres or chelsea handler...and they had mo'nique's accolades...Netflix woulda probably given 'em a couple million...and promoted the stand up special as..
"Academy Award Winner ___________ makes her triumphant return to the stage in a one hour special exclusively on Netflix"
the issue Mo'Nique has...she been out the game for so long....and she's NOT Chappelle....
people still quote the Chappelle Show to this day....his fans still follow him...and even though he's been off TV..he was still tourin' and doin' stand up at smaller venues...
i'm not gonna go as far as to call it Racism or Sexism...but maybe that was Mo'nique's tactic to help in the negotiations....all is fair in business and warfare....

Well that depends on whether you used whatever power you have to keep that person from getting work with other producers, studios, etc...
Anyway whether she was black balled or not. Isn't what I was bring proof of. I was setting straight the narrative that she was presenting and others were misrepresenting.
