That scene highlights the hopelessness of Juice's situation. There was absolutely no out....and death would be the best way out. He chose the most honorable death he could've gotten in the prison.Jax has no kind of loyalty, yes his mother fucked up but you don't kill your mom. Also the writers just had to throw that one gay scene in it for no reason

Yes, and like I said, it illustrates just how far he's lost himself. He broke in the scene with Jax, but this was the aftermath.
It's also for the viewer to see to understand his numbness and his choice to just mke it clean at Tully's hands.
