The death of Tara brought Nero back around, they never resolved their issues, Jax was cold to him when he first saw him, but Jax is cold to everyone now so its hard to tell.
After they hit the Chinese, Jax made him collect the guns they used, and he admired the shot gun with the tape for a minute before putting it in the van.
Man jaxx has fucked up. But like everyone else I'm curious about why he was crying so much.

crying while hugging his son? I'm guessing because he misses the kid's mother. Also that scene was the same time the old guy was hugging his kid, so I guess it symbolizes both of them grieving the loss of a loved one but doubt Jax knew it was dude's son.
