Houses in Barbados are often not painted because of valuation reasons. A painted house will receive a higher valuation than an unpainted one and this makes a difference when property tax is due on these properties. The higher the value of your home the more tax u pay so sometimes people leave them unpainted to avoid extra taxation.
Paint lasts anywhere it depends on if it is suited to the environment that it is being used in. Besides most people use trowel plastic on their home before painting it for that finished look.
Well at least that kills all the biracial talk and now I see where she gets the alien forehead.
