A callous McDonald's employee who baited a homeless man with free food only to throw water in his face has been fired after video of the cruel trick went viral.
The Detroit fast-food worker was caught on video baiting the elderly man with a free sandwich and then dousing him with a cup of water when he got closer to the drive-thru window.

"You want a sandwich? Come here!" the unidentified employee says, while concealing the cup in his other hand. "Come on, man. I'm about to help you."
A Detroit McDonald's employee has been fired after video of him dumping a cup of water on a homeless man through the window of a drive-thru went viral.
The pranked victim reaches out his hand but then gets splashed with water. The cameraman — a customer inside a car — bursts into laughter at the shocked man's expense.
"Now why'd you do that," the homeless man asks.
He appears to scold the employee before they shoo him away.
The homeless man was shocked after he thought he was getting a free sandwich.
The heartless employee has been given the boot, according to Wise Finley, the owner of the McDonald's franchisee.
"I am very disturbed by the inappropriate behavior of this employee," Finley said in a statement. "This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization. I expect my employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and this was unacceptable. "
Many rushed to the homeless man's defense and ripped the employee after the video surfaced on YouTube, where it's been viewed more than 688,000 times.
"The funny thing is that the guy will be homeless himself after this video," one user wrote.
