I have an undergrad degree in physics and a doctorate in engineering, so I don't need anyone to explain any of this to me. I've derived the 8 in/mi^2 formula myself from first principles and understand exactly what it represents and its limitations. I also have a deep understanding of gravity, orbital mechanics, optics, and electromagnetism.
I'm not asking about what the ancients could prove. I'm asking you to show me a modern flat Earth predictive model of the eclipses. Because the history I understand shows the ancients understood the Earth was spherical for millenia.

If this is the front of the moon, why are we not at least seeing the sides of the moon when in different hemispheres??

I am simply asking for a working mechanism behind the flat earth claims, now if you want to understand the working mechanism for any of my claims simply ask, the same way i ask, the difference is I will give actual situations backed by experiments and falsifiable observations.
Now getting to your claim, of the moon being behind the sun during the new moon, how is this possible for everyone to not see the new moon if the moon is behind the sun? For example, if the sun were at the equator during observations, shouldn't the people below the equator be able to see the moon while the people above have it blocked by the sun? Learn to think in 3d before blurting such nonsense and please refrain from trying to argue with people who can critically on subjects you are ignorant about before you go to Oz to get a brain!
