He willl also owe millions when he do his taxes. I had a coworker win 1 mill on a scratch off. He took home 480k after taxes. The following year when he did his taxes the IRS said "You made over a mill last year, you owe us money' He had to pay 60k.
That's fucked up because winnings don't count as earnings. This is exactly why I don't play the Mega Millions or Powerball until it reaches 100 million. Because fuck that. Fuck when the lottery and having to go to back to work
