Comedian Shane Gillis had a joke about these types of movies/shows, and how his black friends thought they were making them for white people, and Shane thought they were making them for black people. He ended it with "please stop making these movies, no one is asking for them because no one likes them." I watched this show, and it was a struggle to get through because it was just black people being terrified and tormented for eight episodes. The dude that played the minstrel character was amazing in his role though. That was some great acting.
