I have a couple of grandson's who's mothers have never cut their hair AND THAT SHIT IS ABOUT THEIR OWN PRIDE AND ADMIRATION.
Just like them throwing lavish birthday parties for a 1 year old. The fuck you going all out like this shit for? It's about YOU! Lil muhfucka will barely have the faintest of memories of it as time goes.
As far as THIS child, I'd say either ornately braid his hair so that there's NO question of his gender or cut it above his shoulders at the least.
