If it don't sound like 1991 then it's bullshit. This song is decent because it's just some song to dance to. It's not about anything other than dancing and having a good time made right for the ladies to flex to.

Then you admit you're a little disconnected. I am not saying rap itself is in good shape nor am i arguing for or against your feelings on the catch phrase of "mumble rap" I'm just saying that there is lots of grey. It isn't EITHER -OR for an entire genre or subsection of a genre of music.
Most I don't like in this category some I do. Also some I don't like but I can understand completely why it's a hit. Migos make hits and this is a catchy song that uses 808's effectively so that pleases the men and it's talking about being a bad bitch and boujee which is what young women who consider themselves attractive aspire to be. Their theme.

1 It has nothing to do with dance music it has to do with rap dancing music lol it doesn't kill any argument cause you like house and salsa those things aren't rap.
2 that's not true the best songs of all time don't all have great lyrics and every rap song ain't a cypher nor should it be which is the exact problem.
