Real Talk, I AM CONVINCED, these new age young folks, tourists etc werent taught this. Shit is rediculous how they just walk right off the sidewalk. I DONT GIVE A SHIT is theres a crosswalk either. I get it, you have a crosswalk, but if my truck hits you , youre all fucked up.

I remember growing up being taught to be scanning for cars when approaching a marked crosswalk (without a stop light). I.E. - slow down a bit on foot and give the car a wave to go through, and then safely cross after them.
Nowadays people seemingly approach crosswalks (anywhere) and IMMEDIATELY start crossing in front of cars. No hesitation whatsoever. Casually walking out in front of moving vehicles without the slightest awareness. Or worse distracted by choice.
As my pops said ... be super careful around school / city buses. Kids and people will dart out in front or behind them and immediately cause an issue. Cars that race around buses are asking for trouble.
Glad i rely solely on public transportation in this city..or let my cousin and his wife do the driving
Makes your blood boil when they run out in front of a multi-thousand pound moving vehicle and then are indifferent, or pissed off at you. Behind the wheel you're thinking "I nearly killed someone" and they don't give the slightest fuck. Or yell something or flip the bird.
Takes all in your power not to want to KO someone just because ...
Got into a minor car accident at slow speed in the late-90s in high school. Came around a sharp right turn near a building and clipped a woman in the passing lane. Got out and immediately apologized. She reassured me it was not the end of the world, and that we were both safe and uninjured.
The other 2 accidents I've been in were ODDLY enough in the same half block aboard the city bus.
Once we were driving down the block and a woman rolled through a stop sign and clipped the back passenger end near the wheel well where I was sitting. She ran aboard the bus looking for witnesses on her side. The driver and all of us looked at her like - "The fuck outta here ..."
The second time (sitting in that same spot) making a left turn onto that block a car ran a red light heading downhill (busy intersection) and slammed into us.
Thankfully both times no one was injured.
I don't think I sat in that same seat for awhile, lol.
