He should have used "an" instead of "a", "were" instead of "was" and put a subject in front of "always". I've seen worse on here. I've probably written worse.
What we don't know: his age, how far he has come along during the year, whether or not the teacher in question teaches English.
What we do know: He has had at least some food insecurity, and studies show that students who are hungry do not learn as well, they have shorter attention spans and more behavior problems. This teacher has been able to give him a love of school and learning. This child recognizes, appreciates and appears to be thriving under the guidance of someone who gives a damn about him.
Those minor grammatical errors can be overcome. Most people wouldn't have noticed in normal conversation. Per usual, you've focused on negative. Perhaps if you would have had someone give a damn about you, you wouldn't be such a miserable, useless fuck.
