This was my all time favorite car and they did this shit to it. Shame
Man I remember my dad was in a hover round some years before he passed away and he was a south memphis old head. He would leave the house riding the streets in it like it was a real vehicle. One day he was so drunk and high his battery went dead and he called my mom to get him and convinced her to tie it to the back by a rope and pull it like it was a car but instead of his dumbass getting in her car he talked her into pulling him in it. They got to a stop sign and when she turned left he went flipping across the street. She almost had a heart attack because she thought she killed him but his ass was so wasted he didn't feel a thing. He was all fucked up. . Crazy lol
Man that's a crazy story, sounds like your Pops lived one hell of a life. R.I.P
Yes he did! Lol! He was in a group called The Ovations. First memphis group to get a top 25 billboard hit. Adopted by Willie Mitchell at 17 so he could tour. Went on the road with James Brown and Gladys Knight and other soul groups from the 50's and 60's. Married 5 times. He believed in marriage lol. But he was wild. He has a note on Beale Street and a W.C. Handy award. My godmother is Ann Peeples. She is the original singer of "I can't stand the rain" that Missy Elliot remade. I grew up watching her record at Willie Mitchell's studio in the 80's so yeah I had an interesting childhood. If you Google The Ovations on the album cover the dude on the left with the glasses is my dad.
