He had to have already paid for the rights to that music to be openly discussing it like that.
That's dangerous though. I was always told if you gon pull a gun be prepared to kill a muthafucka. Dude didn't seem like he was too fazed and walked away too slowly for me. He could have had a burner in his pants and reached around real quick and blew that guy's brains out.
Apparently there is a 1 out of 3 death rate when they do this... Just about 2 days after being hatched.
