He was a little over a year old. He caught it and scarfed it down before you could tell him to drop it...it was the instinct of a Bird Dog.
He threw it up after a while.I've had a couple of Red Noses who caught young squirrels and swallowed them only to end up throwing them back up. That was the only way that I knew that they'd even caught em. The squirrels would run along the top of my fence to get back and forth with the dogs on their heels.
