I would be very cautious buying a home built after the pandemic. There's been way too many stories about people having issues with their homes. These builders cutting corners using cheaper materials & less skilled workers all while rushing these homes out for bigger profits.

My aunt's neighborhood has experienced a fair bit of new construction within the past 5 years.


Like you said re: cheaper materials and / or cutting corners. The curb appeal is immediately lessened when you see these weak-ass fences that look like they could topple over with one swift kick. That's all before even walking up the front steps and going inside the homes.

My sil townhouse in new money Clarksburg, MD is already falling apart, her neighbors also complain about the same shit
