He couldn't box at that level even before he retired. His last few professional fights were awful.
I was talking about peak prime Tyson not his waning years. Those peak prime years hold the nostalgia.

When do you believe he reached his peak? He definitely didn't seem to be at his peak against Douglas, Lewis, or Holyfield.

The Tyson I remember was Washed. Obviously I wasnt around in the 80's for his heyday, but I remember him being scary in the 90's, and totally outmanned by Holyfield.

Yeah, he went a lot of stages. Man, at certain point a lot of people began to be more invested in Mike Tyson's journey as person rather than as a boxer.
That was his first opponent after his loss to Douglas. Most seem to agree though that his peak was over by the early 90s.
I included Buster Douglas to show the end point.

Then Holyfield ended Douglas career the next fight.

although your right however Tyson did had some wins after Cus died and enough skillset to beat a jake paul even joshua could have beaten jake earlier rounds.
