No hate my brother, just the truth. The US is 4% of the world population, and yet it wants to force a name that 96% of the world does not use. The game is football. Case closed. The US had the most medals because the US had the largest contingent of contestants. The US has the money to develop athletes in every sport. In England, they have used a lottery to determine which sports will receive funding, because even for the 5th largest economy in the world, it is difficult to find the money to pay for everything. In the things which the others spend money too, the US has no advantage. The English situation is more true for other countries in the world because they have even less money that the UK. The Jamaicans focus their meager resources on sprinting, and they are the best in the world at it. The Kenyans and Ethiopians in distance running, and the US is not a factor at distance races. In every other important country in the world, the priority sport is football, which is why the 24 million Ghanaian that have less money the 1 million people in they city of Dallas always wipe out the US in the World Cup. The US lost to Jamaica.. If they played in Africa, they would have to play Zambia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, a full Egypt, etc; and I predict that they would find the going far harder than they do in Concacaf where Mexico is their only obstacle... This is to say nothing of what would happen if they had to play Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay... be a part of Euefa. Football is a different animal that means everything to everyone else, so they do not play with it. Do not extrapolate your success in basketball to it because no one takes basketball as seriously as they take football. As for the statement that football is boring, I understand where you are coming from. You yourself admit that you do not understand the sport. I played basketball in Africa at an extremely low level, and to this day, I do not understand the big deal with a facial. Americans who toil at the game have come to acquire a reverence for the circumstance. As a man, when you actually play a sport, and are forced to come to terms with the actual challenge involved in being good at it, you become respectful of it.Why the U.S. hate. We don't care about soccer. Outside the U.S. they don't care about american football. Yall should be happy you are better than us at something.
Because at these past Olympics, we had the most gold & overall medals. We'll just be better at everything else.
To me soccer is boring. But I don't understand the game. Even if I understood the game I might still find it boring.
