The RNC just wants to keep Pence "safe" at least until Trump better recovers because they realize that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is next in line for the Presidency. It seems clear that they have given up on a Trump reelection and have shifted their focus and resources to getting that Supreme Court selection confirmed and maintaining a majority in the Senate.

But, if anything I have said we need to value our vote more and not just give it away. This is not the same message as saying "don't vote."
