But the person I was suppose to start it w/ is MIA....Dayum it family members! So tell me, do you think I could pull it off by myself? I need some advice on what would make you all call in & listen to it on a bi weekly basis and even call in to be on live?

Help! Since I am doing it myself.....I am doing my way. Which will center around life, sex and celebrity gossip. I will probably do some contests also...

Help me out fam, what would make you listen?? Can I pull it off by myself??
 
I guess if you play devil's advocate here with a variety of subjects.

I guess you could debate subjects that would get responses from both and male and female listeners however controversial it maybe.

An idea that I heard from a radio station here in London is that on one day a week, they would let the listeners contact them for a 'free for all'. This is where the listeners would call in and start a debate on any subject that they wish to discuss.

Sure you can- you have a lot of interesting stories and life experiences. I enjoy hearing people's opinions on a variety of topics, but not a fan of celeb gossip. There's too much of that imo.

I like MCP's idea and folk rarely get tired of talking about sex and relationships and things that make one laugh.

Thanks MCP & Izayoi! That is actually a good idea. I wonder if I did a 1 hour show if I could fit that in the last 20 minutes? I think I can have 2 or 3 callers on at the same time....What a great idea!:yes:

Thanks Onyxfemme for the compliments.

If you start off with a subject that you feel would get people contacting you, that would be a nice way to start off with.

I would also say if you're not getting any responses to the subjects you started with, don't be afraid to change subjects during your show as well.

Hope it all goes well. Gonna keep my thinking cap on for now.

It doesn't sound like the question is if you can do it but are you going to do it?

If your family stood you up then it wasn't meant for you to be working with family, this is a project that you're going to have to decide if you want to do or not.

I'm in the process of writing about coincidences and there isn't such a thing, just tests to determine what we're willing to accept.

You know that you're more than capable of starting the show but once again, are you?
 
I know you can pull it off, by yourself NO! What is the show topic? Sounds like your not really ready to do this. Your callers need to be lined up, subject matters established and questions prepared.

Take your time if your going to do this so it can be done the right way. Your rep is worth the wait.:yes:

Thanks fam, I will take my time on this to do some research. I want to see what the others on Blog Talk Radio are doing to keep their shows jumping. I know I could do it by myself, but it has to be bi weekly and at a time the coincides w/ the billion other things I have going on. In regards to my husband being on their...HELL NO. Ya'll I am definitley the cool one amoung my kids. My husband is very analytical(sp)and he well...HE TALKS TOO MUCH! I love my man to death. But naaaaw not a co host w/ me...I mean he could be a guest or something....:smh:

uve just explained to us WHY your husband would be a good co-host..

complete contrasts in views and opinions..
plus u can use him as sort of a comic releif when he starts to get outta pocket. (women love to hear dudes gettin clowned on the radio)..


the war btwn the sexes is always a surefire way to get ppl to tune in and listen.

Pout if you want but even oh Alexyss Tylor (Penis Power - YouTube) has someone to interact with. You don't want to come off as another ranting female with a mike. It takes a dedicated effort by a minimum of 2 people to do a sucessful blog.

Why not check with your e-sis, she has one under her belt from last year? I'm sure she can advise you.

From what I know of you on this forum you are as wise as you are sexy. I definitely think you can pull it off. You can always use topics from BGOL/SOL to get started. Thats what Tariq Nasheed seems to do :lol: But please stay away from the man bashing. PLEEEASE.:smh:
