we always clown people for going crazy when we here about snow, but after that ice storm a few years back when we didn't have power for 2.5 days I never clown them for going ape, lol.
I just got in, when I get off the highway it usually takes 7 minutes to get home, it took 25 minutes. Cars in front of me going 8miles an hour and still swerving all over the road, I saw several cars stuck, its the fact their just starting to put salt down and shyt and that's the main streets. I'm watching the news the downtown connector is backed all up, Thank God, I'm not out there.
bump that overreacting shyt, when I heard the weather man say 100% chance a couple of days ago, I knew this shyt wasn't gonna be a joke. Usually their like a 40% chance of rain possibly sleet, etc...But, when that mofo said 100% chance and started talking crazy (it'll freeze over night, because of the drought it may knock down tree branches which will fall on power lines and cause POWER OUTAGES) I said fk that, I'm preparing, I might even do some over-reacting. But, the fact is they haven't been this sure since the ice storm we had a few years back. As I said I went without power for 2.5 days, the roads were screwed, stores were closed and I only had shyt that needed to be cooked or microwaved at the crib.

So without power and the road conditions, I caught myself begging a neighbor for some fkn doritos.

Not this time, just in case power goes out, I have plenty of blankets, candles, flashlight, chips, bread, drinks, etc.... A big misconception is people down south don't know how to drive in the snow...lol, its mainly because our roads aren't prepared for this shyt. I remember last year the DOT said because of budget cuts they couldn't salt a lot of non major streets. So that's why people maybe over-react, IT'S NOT THE SNOW, IT'S THE BLACK ICE THAT HAS PEOPLE OVER-REACTING. That's why the grocery lines were backed the fk up because people know how the roads are when we get snow, they know power can go out, and a lot of stores will be closed.
I don't understand why some act like its stupid for southerners to go crazy when it snows, we're not use to it, our roads and dot isn't fully prepared, etc...I'm not mad that the D.O.T hasn't increased the budget for snow and ice storms, we don't get it that often although it seems like we're getting it more nowadays, we usually don't have more than 1 or 2 storms a year and like I said I haven't saw a 100% chance of snow since the ice storm several years back, so I don't see the need for the local govt. to spend millions on tools they'd only use 2 to 5 days a year. When we get these ice and snow storms everything shuts down for a day or 2, we know what to expect.
