Smelling Ya' Mate...

Okay, I'm posting this because i'm curious if there's a female equivalent or if I'm just weird.

Anyway, either I have a heightened sense of smell, or this is common among men, and the fellas I roll with have never had this conversation. Either way, I've noticed that women I'm attracted to tend to have scents. It's not like I'm going up sniffing these chicks or some shit. I'm just saying that I've noticed that beneath the perfume and whatever oils and lotions they're using, there's a scent specifically attached to women that I'm feeling in some way...and it drives me wild.

It's not always the same scent.

For example, this one girl I was very sexually attracted to, smelled like, well...pussy. It wasn't funky. It was more like...I dunno, it was fuckin' pussy-scent. On the days that I wanted to hit, were the days that the smell was the strongest. The crazy thing is that some days it was so damn strong I was embarrassed because I'm thinking, "Can NOBODY else SMELL this shit???? This is damn near knocking my ass out!" It was totally me though, and I'll be damned if the chicks that I'm *not* feeling don't have ANY smell attached to them at ALL. They can but butt-assed naked in front of me and I don't register a damn scent. This woman had a kid, so I wonder if the smell had a link to the matured body?

My ex' smell was strong in a different way. I smelled it around her face, the nape of her neck, and on her sheets. It took years to get that scent out of my system, but it was definitely there. So strong it was, that when we got kissing close, it was intoxicating.

So all that said, do women have an equivalent primal uncontrollable reaction/trigger? To the fellas that read this, am I loony or is this common? I thought pheromones were supposed to be undetectable?

A study has been done on this topic. People were asked to pick out their mate's clothing by scent alone while blind folded. Every group was at least 90% acurate. In this same test they also found that siblings usually have scents that are offensive to each other but pleasant to their mates ... saw it on the History Channel. The topic was human sexuality.

Babies have a scent that scientist think helps people to bond with them.

I have noticed this phenomena as well with the women I've dated. The longer relationships I've had are with the ones who had that unique scent.

Even after we were finished sometimes i would smell it and be reminded of her. Maybe it was the type of soap/perfume she used but if i smell it i always remember her.

I for one abstain from wearing cologne of any types.
The only odor I like emitting from my body is that fresh after laundry smell Y'all know the one, that post laundry downy softener aroma. LOVE IT!!

I love the natural smell of a woman and I usually critique women for wearing too many scented products that detracts from their natural aroma.

Some women do however just plain stink; they get cut with tha quickness! If I smell better than you, then we have a problem.

Some people's brains are cross wired to have high and seemingly bizarre sensory awareness- its a condition where people can sometimes "taste" colors or "smell" textures. I can't remember the name of the condition. The same thing happens to me too. Out of nowhere I'll smell my ex, and it takes me back. Every guy that I've had sex with has a certain kind of smell that drives me crazy.
