He would however need a black athlete to partner with him who is well respected, engaging, and able to be seen as someone who can check Skip.

How about this maybe not belittle a Hall of Famer's career just because he's criticizing your guy. I've said this many times already but Shannon was an elite tight end in his career. You got Shaq and everyone else acting like he was a pedestrian on two teams that demanded the ball to be run. He would have a field day in today's game versus when he played football.
I just don't understand,how someone can say to a three time Superbowl winner that Tom Brady had a better career than him, especially when Shannon plays a different position than Tom Brady. Compare,Tom Brady to Marino,Elway,Kelly,etc,etc and etc but to compare a quarterback versus a tight end is ridiculous.
Most players would love to have Shannon's career. Not only that,Shannon is highly respected in the Broncos and Ravens organization.

I remember in 2011 the Broncos needed a win or a Raiders in the last week of the season to go to the playoffs. The Broncos loss 7-3 against the Chiefs while the Chargers beat the Raiders. The very next day,Skip had the audacity to say Tim Tebow put the Broncos in the playoffs. I just shook my head at that bullshit.
Mind you,I've been a Broncos fan since the Three Amigos in the late 80's. While,most Broncos fans was glad we won the games the majority of the fans agree that the defense is the reason,why we won those games that year despite being average that season. Who cares about that, according to Skip it was Tebow who won those games.
