That's the reality of it all. The posting pics and talking shit never stopped. Albeit the multiple beef threads running concurrent have dwindled to an all time low. Albeit some folks do love that drama and the antics that go along with beef.
And their site layout is a very similar, just different colors.
OP made same valid points, it's usually the same people talking in threads but they're the ones making the thread what it is. Others just sit on the sidelines but don't participate.
There's also lots of old threads that get bumped, but it's being bumped with new posts relevant to the thread. So the thread's are just ongoing.
Being a member of a couple of different message boards, I can tell you that this is the best one. Most of them have the same popular topics posted as here, along with whatever interests posters who make new threads.
Also there's not as much beef on the board anymore because now we just put each other on ignore.
After all those years of database errors, running slow as hell and lack of updates did you ever think we'd be here criticizing other boards for being outdated?

I laugh as I write this, but every once in a while, somebody will remind us that this is a “porn board”, but I look at it as this being a board that sometimes features porn, lol.
My thing is - and it’s been mentioned a few times already in different ways - that it’s typically trivial BS and clown-shoe ass trolling that brings traffic up sometimes. Certain people be in those threads. There are other threads that certain people will just stay out of, one account of it being something they’re not interested in. It’s very likely that the action is just somewhere that you’re not.
Bring up Zod and the Zeacons and I will be sure to preach the Zospel to the ignorant, and hilarity will ensue. We had a thread discussing how kids are more frequently claiming gay or bi and it was an amazing discussion.
Think of it like when a show you would frequently watch suddenly get canceled. It comes as a shock because you swore the show was solid and everyone rocked with it, and was captivating, but it turns out that it had a niche audience. That jawn wasn’t for everyone.

Man, I will never not appreciate how smooth our board runs nowadays. Albeit those database error gifs were fucking hilarious. And that's what I love about BGOL. We will take anything and make a joke about it as it behooves us to do so. And let's not get it fuzzy. Many folks stayed clear of these BGOL streets. I've even seen some folks on other boards refer to BGOL as Fight Club. As these streets are not safe for the weak or light of heart.
Quite a few of those dudes burned their accounts with the bullshit. BGOL has a long memory.

This place has matured. I used to contribute to the music and movie forums, but I no longer have the time to do so. I def ain’t going to be in a place with a bunch of YNs either. Eventually the well will run dry, which is still impressive that’s it’s been able to last this long.
I still check the site everyday. And there has been less trolling with the block feature.

The board is highly active especially if you are into politics because Trump and his ilk gives us plenty to talk about. Also I'm a huge Bears fan and there are a plethora of Bears fans on this board so I enjoy going into the Bears thread and talking about the Beloved with the homies.
When something major happens in the world I can come here and be unfiltered especially when someone like Charlie Kirk gets blasted. I can come here and vent about racist cacs and brotha's on here know exactly how I feel.
Now if you looking for the days of bitchass dudes like Blunt and others constantly trolling, that's pretty much over with and I'm glad. Frankly I'm too old for all that shit. Bad bitches still being posted on here every day too. Is this place different than it was 15 years ago, Yes! But it's still active and a good place for brotha's to come and hang out.

Well said my guy... This is something that's overlooked. The board has evolved in a way. More grown discussions (brothers have aged). Be it politics, sports, current events, paying $200 for a hair cut, dudes actually discuss/debate these things.
Also, dudes are actually observing the first rule of BGOL. There was a time when dudes was snitching and too many fools was in here.
And don't get it twisted, just because we've grown a bit, that doesn't mean you won't get ock'd up in here. BGOL invented bringing the smoke.

Quite a few of the miserable assholes that trolled this place have gone dormant. Since then the board is more peaceful and affable.
But as someone pointed out earlier in this thread expect them to magically begin appearing again no later than Spring 2026 so that they can begin pushing their "not voting, we need tangibles" shit prior to the 2026 mid-terms.
We'll get to see if BGOL's memory is still good.
Mfs would just rather be on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. Think about what gets posted here these days. Its just posts from one of the big social media sites.
