The Emotions are an AmericanGrammy Award-winning[1]Soul/R&B vocal group from Chicago, Illinois. The group originally consisted of three sisters; Wanda Hutchinson, Sheila Hutchinson and Jeanette Hutchinson. The sisters are all children of Joseph and Lillian Hutchinson.

The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B singing group from Oakland, California, that achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s. Spanning over four decades, their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, electronic music, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock. The Pointer Sisters have won three Grammy Awards and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994. The group had 13 US top 20 hits between 1973 and 1985.

Sister Sledge is an American musical vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1971, the group consisted of sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim and Kathy Sledge. Symbolizing strong family values, the siblings achieved international success at the height of the disco era. The year 1979 saw the release of their breakthrough album We Are Family, which peaked at number three on the US Album Chart and went Platinum. The album included the 1979 single "We Are Family" which reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earned them a Grammy Award nomination, together with two other 1979 top 20 international hits "He's the Greatest Dancer" and "Lost in Music".

The Jones Girls were a R&B trio of sisters from Detroit, Michigan. They first recorded for GM Records in 1968, then recorded for Philadelphia International Records with Gamble & Huff.The group consisted of sisters Brenda, Valorie and Shirley Jones.

I wanna say Sister Sledge, but I hate doing the Pointer sisters like that and real talk the Emotions over both them, The best of my love :cool:
 
I don't care what anyone says. No song by any of these groups is touching "Nights Over Egypt." If they didn't sing anything else, I'd still give the win.
 
I think its because they didn't sing mainstream R&B. Their biggest hits were country and disco hits that crossed over to R&B.

As for the sisters, I would vote them Best Dressed, that throwback style from the 40s and 50s and their singing style set them apart.
