That's a pretty broad generalizataion there. Cop is a generic term, you have all sorts of cops and alot of smart ones too. The Feds are cops and have a nearly 100% crime solved record. Like anything else you have stupid people in every field, even medicine. I have alot of family in Law enforcement and it's not an easy job and you can't be stupid and last in it. I don't think many people know what it takes to even get hired. They only hire like less than 3% of the people who apply. Mabey in shit hole rural towns they are dumb but it's a pretty fucked up hard process.

But when a cop get shot or killed, they will do everything in their power to catch that suspect.
There’s 1 million cops in America . It’s a job. Might as well say most office workers are dumb. Office work is mindless repetitive non thinking bullshit but millions do it. Cops have to deal with a bunch of bullshit and know laws and other shit.
Maybe cops in shit holes like Mississippi are dumb but most city cops or federal agents who have degrees and advanced degrees are not exactly dumb. Solving crimes also doesn’t have much to do with smarts when it’s the District Attorney’s job to put people away.
They still can't do their job, a lot of them aren't solving crimes at all. They will just let that case get cold and it be another file on their desk stacked up like the rest of the other cases not being solved is my point..
So, again, cops aren't smart especially with all the technology today for them to be slow to solving crimes is crazy. Also, no matter what bullshit they gotta deal with doesn't matter because if one of their men in blue gets shot and killed then you better best believe they will work tirelessly to catch that suspect..
Also, if cops was so smart why didn't they catch that suspect yet who's still on the loose in new Orleans
