Simpletech 1.5 TB External HD - $67.99 from Dell.com

They'll likely honor the orders made from prior experience in matters like this. many scary ass ninjas missed out. Gotta learn to jump on opportunities like this....shit.

I stay on Slickdeals website so I've seen plenty of these price mistake deals
Every once in a blue moon the order actually goes through and they ship them out
Most of the time though, the orders get canceled because so many people jump on them or the order is shipped but you're charged the REAL price
Your best bet is to always place the order and go for overnight delivery so it gets shipped out before they realize what happened...lol
The fact that they'll have all of today to realize what happened before tomorrow morning doesn't bode well

I swear on my grandmother's grave and I hope I go to hell if im lying when i say my card has been charged NOW! The purchase went through already, just waiting to see if it ships. It's a good chance it'll never ship, but if it does.....it's a good chance I'll get some kind of credit/above usual discount on something else I buy from them. I think the term is "concession coupon" that they give you when the order is cancelled

If yours has already charged then you might get away with it. They have to go throught alot to get the CC order to cashback, they might honor it.

music to my fuckin' ears man, if anything.....the shit will hit the fan sometime later today if they don't honor the purchase. I'll keep the board posted though and im sure others will also. I personally think people who ordered more than one or MAYBE 2 might not get shit due to greed. Not wishing bad on anyone....but i was just trying to fly under the radar as opposed to making a profit.

I would be totally flabbergasted if they didn't honour the sale and would write a letter to the CEO of the company. Most top companies don't play games like that. Thats not a lost to them because of the high demand on the internet it becomes a buzz. Thats like free advertisement to them with saving a lot less than spending a million for a commercial spot on Superbowl Sunday.

Brilliant move on their strategy. Dell are closing all their doors in the near future and will maintain internet sales.

Congrats on those who caught it in time. Again, brilliant strategy.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!
I was gonna get 3 or 4 of them.

Let me tell y'all that I have a 320 GB from SimpleDrive and I would not (willingly) buy from them again. Crashed, all data lost.

first u say u was going to get three or 4 of them then you tried to say the shit always crashes?:smh::smh::smh::smh:

there is nothing anyone in this thread can say that will make me regret my purchase. I even question the authenticity of some. My Purchase is still valid and I will remain optimistic until it gets canceled....IF it gets canceled.

Thats why i got 2, i always buy my drives in pairs and have them in separate
computers. This one comes with back up software with is a plus.

RAID 1 setup man. You wont have to worry about DL.

Plus if you choose to not use the external drive. just pull out the two drives and use them independently. bang for the buck this is worth the money for $$$ per gigabyte...

DAMN!!!! It's dead and gone! I would've got one had i not been watching my got damn GIANTS win the got damn superbowl! DAMN!!!! DAMN!!! DAMN!!!!

I just checked my order status.....my order STILL hasn't been canceled and my credit card has been charged. I still have my fingers crossed hoping they ship that bitch!

I did that instore a few times. Go to buy something and they had it marked wrong. They have to sell at the price it's listed as.

DAMN!!!!!!! i cant believe the 1 day i take a break from the board.. i miss the deal of a lifetime!

this is a tragishamockery! (tragedy, sham, and a mockery)

:lol::lol::lol:

I ordered one but at this point I say that its less than a 5% chance of the order going through. It obvious that the Dell server has some sort of a trip up switch that is designed to go off if sales of one of their item goes off the meter.

Factor in, this shit was all over the net, and yall know how them white boys get down :smh: they couldn't buy just one or two, nah them greedy bastards were strait murking it, buying 100 orders a pop, to sell on Ebay!

So if these orders were to go through, not only would they lose millions in cash, by an underpricing graffle, they stand to be under price by the white boys on Ebay, selling it for 300 a pop.

In these tough economic climate, I seriously doubt that any company will take an "L" with out fighting and biting!

Most likely the Dell workers are sifting by hand reviewing each and every order purchased last night, and being they stipulated, in plain English, that they have the right to cancel orders, I think the writing is on the wall!
But hey I am in the same boats as you guys! All I can do is cross my fingers and hope that I am wrong!

Dell will ship them. Partner of mine came up on their 24" monitors a while back. He bought two and ebayed one. I think he spent $800 total. Monitor's are like $600 a piece. Keep up with xpbargins and fatwallet.

You're not seriously thinking that anyone would actual abide by this clause, do you?

This is the clause dell will use to cancel the orders. Do you actually think they will sell a 600 dollar item for 60 dollars :smh::lol: plus it says it takes 72 hours to ship because they do the orders by hand.

damn, it seems as if the people who missed out on the deal don't want it to go through. The day is winding down and my order is still valid. If something is gonna happen, it'll happen tomorrow because that is when it is scheduled to ship

The hard drives ship within 24 hrs.......it just so happens that all this took place sunday night. If they ship....they will ship tomorrow

this type of drive usually retails for 250 - over 300 dollars. No way in hell is dell going to take a loss like that, i guarantee no one is going to get their order shipped.
