two things i would advise for anyone shopping for a new rewards/travel card

#1, check to see if they offer preapproval before you apply. no sense in taking a hard inquiry for something that you may not get.

#2, only apply for one card every 6 months to maximize your chances of approval. if you apply for too many cards in a short amount of time it makes you look risky to lenders.
