Didn't know this was the same treatment from in the past that requires chemo and takes months of transfusions. Sigh...FDA approves cure for sickle cell disease, the first treatment to use CRISPR

Hopefully this isn't the best solution that will be approved. There are easier less painful therapies that don't require bone marrow clean out and the pain associated with.
