I feel the same way!!!
I think we can win all of the games(4-0),but we all know how the celtics play during back to backs:smh:

the only tough game is the lakers.

blazers are missing most of their players to injury, and the kings suck(celtics already blew them out).

the suns are the tail end of the back to back, so I am concerned about that one.

While the lakers at home are always tough!!! but we have to win that one for shaq:thumbsup::thumbsup:

so I say 3-1

Shout-out to the Boston Celtic and to you brothers!!!!

Kevin Garnett Uses Bin Laden in Describing Lakers BallBoy Autograph Request

Most people will tell you off the court that Kevin Garnett is a nice individual.
Unfortunately his on the court actions and off the court comments to the media lately has more people seeing him as as real jerk.
He is already known as the #1 studio gangster in the league and he continuously puts his foot in his mouth when to trying to express how he feels about certain situations.

He does it once again when a Lakers ballboy asked KG for an autograph, here is what he had to say:
“You got a better chance of catching Bin Laden.”
Andrew Bogut of the Milwaukee Bucks says he treated their ballboy like trash as well.
Before addressing the Bin Laden statement, just remember that ballboys are kids.
Kids who love basketball and love the NBA. The type of kids that help pay Garnett's salary and have made him famous.

Doesn't matter if they are a ballboy for the Lakers, Bucks, Heat or whoever, you don't treat kids like that.
Only punks feel the need to act like that.

To add on the Bin Laden reference is just disrespectful and in poor taste, but what we are learning that KG doesn't have any taste or respect for his fellow players or fans for that matter.
They use to call Kevin Garnett "The Kid", it is time for him to grow up.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
the lakers organization have gone to old "Hitler era" propaganda to besmirch a celtic after a loss. why can't the lakers take that destruction on their home court and call it a day!!:smh::smh::smh:

:lol:Time for the kid to wise up....do not worship any man.

They are all just men,who play a game...does not make them good people or people to look up to.

He did the kid a favor...LeBron does the same thing,as we have seen.

Turns out that was likely a bullshit story. It has since been removed from the original Twitter account where it was posted. The "Bin Laden" reference should've given it away. That's a bit too elaborate and thought-out for someone just telling a kid to get lost.

Power rankings: C's stuck at No. 2

The Boston Celtics remain at No. 2 in this week's ESPN.com NBA power rankings,
http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/_/season/2011/week/14
unable to slip past a San Antonio Spurs squad that still boasts the league's best record. Writes curator Marc Stein: "Never overestimate one regular-season game. I'd be lying, however, if I didn't admit to giving deep thought to Doc's trusty line about his how "A" starting five has never lost a series after what the Celts just did in L.A.

In John Hollinger's daily computerized rankings,
http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings
the Celtics jumped up a bit to No. 5 and are dangerously close to overtaking the Heat, but still trail behind the Spurs, Lakers, and Magic.

Over at NBA.com's power rankings,
http://www.nba.com/2011/news/powerrankings/01/31/week14/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1
the Celtics also can't leapfrog the Spurs for the top spot. Writes curator John Schuhmann, "After splitting a pair of ugly games in Portland and Phoenix, the Celtics' offense looked pretty under the bright lights of Staples Center, the first of four straight big Sunday games. They host the Magic this Sunday and the Heat the Sunday after that. Then three or four of them head back to L.A. for the All-Star Game."

Hollinger is an idiot to have them at #5....:smh::smh:

He must be a true Celtic hater:smh:when they win the championship...he will probably move them to #2.

P.S. :thefinger: this pole smoker!!!!
I can't believe bulls fans still cheer for a known fag!!!:smh:

NBA to allow Rose skin-tight uniforms for All-Star Game:smh::smh::smh:

ept_sports_nba_experts-42645126-1296594698.jpg

The jerseys that NBA players wear every night are pretty tame by the standards of contemporary uniforms. They're fairly loose, feature few colors like teal or the neon yellow adored by the University of Oregon, and generally are engineered to appeal to as many fans as possible. That's why pretty much every team in the league wears blue or red, the least offensive colors of all-time, unless you're a hardcore political activist or a gang member.

However, it turns out the league and adidas have different sartorial plans for the All-Star Game. For the first time ever, players will have the option of wearing skin-tight jersey tops. From Paul Lukas at the essential Uni Watch:
Most NBA players these days wear a compression tank top under their jersey. So why not just skip the jersey and wear the compression undergarment function as the uniform top?

That's an idea that the NBA has decided to test-drive in the upcoming all-star game. The league will announce today that all players in that game will have the option of wearing skin-tight compression tanks instead of the standard Adidas jerseys.

It isn't yet clear how many people will take the league up on this offer.
As Lukas notes, the compression top is already standard for players, so this will be a case of the participants shedding a layer rather than changing one. Of course, part of what makes this new look somewhat silly is that it's matched with baggy shorts, a combination that does actually make it so the players look like they forgot to put on their tops. The French national soccer team plays with skin-tight tops, as well, but they look less ridiculous because their shorts match the style.

Regardless, this look exists, and we must learn to deal with it. The question now is who will wear them. Derrick Rose(notes) seems like a certainty since he's involved in the publicity photos above, and Dwight Howard(notes) is also likely since he's sponsored by adidas and generally likes everything that makes him look more like a superhero.
The one major problem for adidas here is that most stars are affiliated with Nike and seem unlikely to give a rival sports apparel outfitter more press. So feel bad for Rose, Howard, and whoever else joins them, because they're all going to look like they lost a bet.

Good game guys!!!
Celtics cut through another California team, like a hot knife through butter!!!

moved our lead 3 games above the inferior teams in the east!!!!

Celtics overcome slow start, beat Kings 95-90
Feb 1,2011
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)—Ray Allen(notes) scored 22 points, Rajon Rondo(notes) had 17 points and 10 assists and the Boston Celtics overcame a slow start to beat the Sacramento Kings 95-90 on Tuesday night.

Paul Pierce(notes) added 15 points and Kevin Garnett(notes) had 12 to help the Celtics (37-11) pull away in the fourth quarter and clinch the Eastern Conference’s best record through games of Feb. 6. That means Boston’s Doc Rivers will coach the East in the All-Star game in Los Angeles on Feb. 20.

DeMarcus Cousins(notes) and Tyreke Evans(notes) finished with 20 points apiece for a Kings team that returned to its losing form. They were coming off wins against two of the Western Conference’s elite—the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Hornets — but missed out on their first three-game winning streak this season.

The Kings knocked Boston around for most of the first half until the Celtics finally pushed back.

Maybe even a little too hard.

A physical game spilled over after Garnett dived for a loose ball near the Kings bench late in the second quarter. Cousins stood over the Celtics big man— still wearing a bandage on his head from a gash that opened in the previous game against the Lakers—with the ball already out of bounds. Rondo came to his teammate’s aid, exchanged words with Cousins and pushed the Kings forward in the chest.

Things never escalated past that, although Rondo was called for a technical foul that could draw more attention in the NBA league office. The Kings led 54-45 at the end of a first half in which they dominated the Celtics in almost every phase.

The Eastern Conference champions were just too much to handle.

The Celtics withstood all the blows and clamped down defensively in the fourth quarter. Glen Davis’(notes) fastbreak dunk highlighted the run that put Boston ahead 87-77 with 6 minutes remaining, and the Kings never seriously challenged after that.

If only that was the end of Boston’s otherwise successful West Coast trip.

The Celtics were planning to stay in Sacramento for an extra night—barring a last-minute change—because of a winter storm cutting a frigid path through much of the nation. They play again until Friday at home against the Dallas Mavericks.

A nice win last night....

Nice game by Nate, notice Rondo sat for just about all the fourth while he ran the show....

When D.West gets back...the Celts are deeper than deep:dance:

Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo help Celts top Kings, cap 3-1 road trip
http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nba/recap?gameId=310201023
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Even Ray Allen was fed up.

The Celtics were already spending an extra night in Sacramento because of a winter storm back East, and Allen wasn't about to spend it soaking up a loss to one of the NBA's worst teams. On a team with the boisterous Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, the usually reserved shooting guard gathered everybody in the locker room at the half and delivered a speech that left them stunned.

"I kind of let everybody have it," Allen said.

Allen sparked a stagnant start to finish with 22 points, Rajon Rondo had 17 points and 10 assists and the Celtics overcame a poor opening half to beat the Kings 95-90 on Tuesday night.

"It's funny. We knew we were messing up when Ray's the one yelling and screaming," Pierce said.

Pierce added 15 points and Garnett had 12 to help the Celtics (37-11) pull away in the fourth quarter and clinch the Eastern Conference's best record through games of Feb. 6. That means Boston's Doc Rivers will coach the East in the All-Star Game in Los Angeles on Feb. 20.

he will add rondo, pierce, garnett and allen to the reserve team!! and call it a day!!

"Usually I have to say something at halftime. I kind of stood outside the locker room," Rivers said. "Ray and the starters, they let the second unit have it today, and you don't see that very often. They were upset. They weren't upset that they didn't play well, they were upset at the way they played. We don't play that way. That's not Celtic basketball. That's the great thing about having a veteran team."

The NBA’s New Downtown Man: Ray Allen
http://www.celticsblog.com/2011/2/3/1972261/the-nbas-new-downtown-man-ray-allen

Ray Allen's career total for threes made now stands at 2,552, and he only needs 8 more threes to tie Reggie Miller's all-time record. At his current average of 2.5 threes per game, he could very well break the record four games from now against the Lakers at home on Feb 10th. But then, Ray has been known to make as many as 10 threes in a game, so who knows - if he really goes off - it could happen against Dallas this Friday, or Sunday against the Magic or in Charlotte on Monday. But I think against LA in Boston would be perfect, given the rivalry that Ray has had with Kobe Bryant after they each entered the NBA draft in 1996.

You don't hear the term "from downtown" that often anymore, but you would if Johnny Most was still broadcasting games featuring Ray Allen. According to ESPN, the phrase "from downtown" was coined by Johnny Most in the 1960s, which precedes the NBA establishing the three point shot in 1979. "From downtown" was popularized by other NBA announcers in the early 1980s, but please let me know if you think this is Johnny Most's term or not, because I can't trust Hunter S. Thompson's recollection of such facts.

Ray may have the notoriety as the Celtics premier 3-point shooter, especially since he's shooting a career high 45.8% from downtown this season. However, not to be ignored, Paul Pierce and his respectable 42.0% 3-point shooting tweeted on Monday:

z8p_bor_rou_sha.jpg

Indeed, whereas Ray Allen is set to smash Reggie Miller's all-time NBA regular season record within a week, Paul Pierce holds the record for threes made as a Celtics' at 1,538 - and Antoine Walker at 2nd isn't even close with 937 threes. Interestingly, Ray Allen is projected to pass Larry Bird's 3rd place 649 threes made in 6 or so games. What is remarkable is that Larry took 13 seasons to garner his total, and Ray is only in his 4th season as a Celtics. Bird wasn't a volume 3-point shooter by any means, but he has his place as being one of the best clutch shooters despite only having a career 37.6% 3-point shooting average.

Don't forget to add "DALLAS (0-2)" to your sig lol good game though.

1) a chicago fan is reping the dallas mavs when the celtics lose!!!
what the matter can't rep your 3rd place team!!!!:lol::lol:
2)all the celtics have to do in the NBA is beat the breaks off of the eastern teams. and we do that on a daily basis.
3)when did chicago move to dallas:confused::confused:
4) You noticed I have not been in the bulls thread. that's because I do not address 3rd place teams. get back in to 2nd place and maybe I will talk to you
For now.........

celtics strike again on a subordinate magic team!!
Kendrick Perkins returns to the Celtics line up (and 2010 playoff form) and shuts down Dwight Howard in the second half

1)Celtics destroy the magic again by double figures in a game that ended in the 3rd quarter (91-80).:lol::lol:

2)Celtics defense(the best in the NBA) hold the magic super offense to 80 points!!!:lol::lol:

3)Dwight Howard goes into beast mode in first half and scores 22 points,
but kendrick "the Dwight Howard stopper" perkins returned his normal duties of shuting howard down for one basket(at garbage time) in the second half like he did during the 2010 playoffs.:lol::lol:

4)Celtics shutdown the magics deadly 3 point shooters(again!!) to 3-24(12%):lol::lol: how the fuck you shoot 12%
when you the top 3 point shooting team in the league
This was a repeat of the 2010 playoffs:lol::lol::lol:

5)Rajon Rondo, the point guard that averages 10 points a game, uses national TV to showcase his talents by scoring 26 points and 7 assists

Raise your cups and rejoice another celtics quality victory against its Eastern conference subordinate!!!
